busy busy weekend

This weekend was jam packed with exciting new adventures for our little princess. We started off the weekend by going to her first fair (and daddy says it was his too!). She was asleep for most of it and it took way longer than it should have. This is because we were strolling a celebrity! We would make it two steps and then someone would stop us... whether it was a friend relative, or patient they all wanted to take a peek at little miss Addilynn! After the fair we went to Pete and Shena's for dinner and caught up on wedding plans and life in the big SM!!! I'm loving having a bestie in town again!

Saturday was another family reunion on Dustin's side. We got to visit with his mom's side of the family and Addilynn got her first five generation photo.

Pictured are Dustins uncle Dale (who was filling in for Kari's dad) Dustin, Kari (dustins mom), Evelyn (dustins great grandma where it all started!)and Addilynn. It was nice to catch up with family we don't get to see very often.

After the reunion we went up to camp and stayed. It was a blast. Rick played his guitar and all of us sang around the campfire. The hit list included songs like Hills of Idaho (One that rick wrote himself!), hotel California, In Color, Signs (he does that one to please the sines family), Wanted, and many more I just can't remember them.
Sunday, Addilynn went on her first 4wheeler ride. She loved it! Dustin and I were stressed but she had no clue and loved every minute of it! We are thinking about doing it again next weekend we had so much fun. She was very sleepy last night when we got home which was perfect!

Yes that little orange bundle is the baby this was on our way home it got pretty chilly! we weren't expecting such a long ride but auntie P had an extra sweatshirt for the little bundle who was the only one sweating!
This is the number two picture for those of you who have seen the first it was taken memorial weekend when i was very very pregnant! Now in place of a belly is a pink bonnet!
Flash burn!!! I just wanted a picture of her in her hat and couldn't get one close up! Changing her pants on the back of the 4wheeler! not quite a changing table but it worked!
Chilling in my dads 4wheeler box she loved all the stopping! she got to see lots of things and kick back and relax a lot!
A lot of new firsts this weekend!

Back to work again!

We have been very busy this last week! Addilynn is 8 weeks old now and is a kick in the pants! She has learned how to laugh and smiles all the time! Everyday she amazes me and gets so big. This weekend we went to Lewiston for Denise and Eric's wedding and Addilynn got to meet another great great grandma. Grandma Eldora. She was pretty fussy at first but in the end she ended up getting to hold a smiley baby after a little food. Boy oh boy the things you can do with food! We put together her bouncy saucer and she loves it also she played in her jumperoo and loves it too! She is still a little too small for the saucer but since the weight limit is 25 lbs we thought we should get her into it or she would be too big before she turned 4 mos!
On a sad note, I went back to work on Monday. I am pretty torn because I remembered how much I love my job, but I miss my little baby so so much everyday it sucks! Each day gets better but I just think about how much I am going to miss. I also think that I am only going to get to see her for around 4-5 hours a day which makes me cry. Everyone says it wont be hard like this forever but I'm still waiting. The good news is I have four weeks of only working three days so that will be awesome!
Today we have to take Addilynn over to CDA to the pediatrician because of her belly button I wanted a second opinion because they keep telling me it is fine even through the seepage, bleeding, and stench (yes she was bleeding out of her belly button gross and scary HUH!). Now she has something poking out of it that reminds me of intestine. So if it is still "just fine" then I will give up but to me she shouldn't still be having issues with it after 8 weeks of life.
We will see. I'm sure I am being an over reacting mother again!
Here are some pictures from the last week:

Poem

My step mom told me about this poem and I think it is great

Mother, O Mother, come shake out your cloth,Empty the dustpan, poison the moth,Hang out the washing, make up the bed,Sew on a button and butter the bread.
Where is the mother whose house is so shocking? She's up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.
Oh, I've grown as shiftless as Little Boy Blue,Lullabye, rockabye, lullabye loo.Dishes are waiting and bills are past due Pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo
The shopping's not done and there's nothing for stew And out in the yard there's a hullabaloo But I'm playing Kanga and this is my Roo Look! Aren't her eyes the most wonderful hue?Lullabye, rockaby lullabye loo.
The cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow But children grow up as I've learned to my sorrow. So quiet down cobwebs; Dust go to sleep!I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.
- Ruth Hulbert Hamilton

Soooo.... to all of you mothers out there. Don't worry about the little things, just worry about the time and memories you share with your little ones.
Addilynn is 7 weeks now by the way and getting bigger and bigger. We took her in today to have her thrush re evaluated (which was a waste of money and time since they say she is fine just me over reacting AGAIN) and she weighs 13lbs 12 oz. What a little piglet! I hope she slows down soon or she will have to start walking because she is getting hard to carry!

Family, Spider, and Mutch Creek

Addilynn got to meet her Great Great Grandma on Friday. Oh and another thing we found a Hobo Spider in our house, and for those of you who are doubting me right now think again because we took the nasty little arachnid into the county extension office and confirmed it. So now I'm scared to death that little miss princess will get bitten. So we have some work to do!

Then today we decided to take the doggies and the baby up to mutch creek. We walked/hiked for an hour and loved it! It is so nice to get up there again. It has been way too hot and today was perfect. It was sunny part of the way and was only about 60-65 degrees. Tonight we are going to watch the fights at Pete and Shena's then tomorrow is my Daddy's 45 bday so its dinner at the river for Addilynns Papa. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

6 weeks

Time is going by way to quickly. I think I say that every week but every week I just can believe another week has gone by and I'm that much closer to going back to work. She is getting so big. She is babbling more and she can even roll from her back to her side. She is changing everyday. It is funny to look back and see what she looked like at birth. Here are a few pictures from the last couple of weeks.

Bath time is always fun

She makes a cute little froggie in her towel

This is a must for any new mom it is her boppy pillow, and she loves it! it is nice for just sitting around, feeding, tummy time and ohhh so much more!!!
