Fair 2014

458

So when looking for pictures to post for the fair, I realized this weekend I was staying true to my slacker form. ONLY 2 pictures! WHAT?! What has gotten into me?

460

Anyway… we had fun. The girls loved seeing all the animals and Addilynn even got to pet Elizabeef. Paisley got the opportunity but wasn’t a fan. Addilynn on the other hand loved it! They got to pet chickens, rabbits, and goats as well. We got to watch RJ show his pig which was also a new experience for the girls as well.

I know most fair parents would disagree, but I wish it was fair weekend again. Then we could forget about the approaching winter for just a bit longer!

I Really Need to Find my Camera Cord!

162

At this moment I am running out of posts! I can’t find my camera cord and am going to have to bite the bullet and just get an adapter for my micro sd card. UGH How do you lose a camera cord in a 1000 sq foot house??? Well here is what we were up to in the beginning of August!

169

We added another member to our family! Mr. Marshall Stewart Turner joined us on August 3rd, and has been keeping us busy ever since. Also in August Papa Jay turned the big 5-0! We celebrated at camp and took a road trip to the reservoir to swim. Since we had the baby boy and Bruiser plus the two girls we had to take the pickup but it ended up being a blast anyway! The water was so warm and the girls and dogs swam all afternoon.

Marshall learned quickly how to climb into the playhouse to spend time with the girls. This was one of the first days we got him when he was debating on making the climb!

I actually captured a rare moment when the girls were getting along! They even posed with silly faces. This only happens when the stars are aligned just right so I always like to snap some random photos documenting the rare occasion!

More shenanigans to come from the month of August!

River Fun!

372

We are so lucky to have a place to spend hot summer days. We got to spend lots of time at the river this year and enjoyed every minute of it! Its always nice to have a place to go and unwind during the week and even better on the weekends when we get to see Nanny and Bapa our girls sure are lucky to have this special place. Thank you Nanny and Bapa for sharing your sanctuary with us! We are forever grateful!

Paisley is stealing a moment with Bapa and I just had to document it!

Addilynn became a fish (literally) this summer and got more and more brave as the days went on. She went from barely getting in the water last year to swimming freely with a monofin this year! Now in the bath tub she is holder her breath and going under with goggles so next summer will be even better!

383

Addilynn sure loves to spend time with her older girls! She is lucky to have such loving idols to look up to!

Softball

117

This summer Auntie P played softball again. It was a hot hot day but it was fun to see the girls play. I didn’t get very many good pictures which seems to be the story of the summer! I was really a slacker this year.

118

The girls seemed to think it was more of a social event then it was to watch auntie play!

121

Good job auntie P we love you and are always so proud of you!

In July we were blessed with the news that daddy had gotten a new job! Don’t get me wrong we loved the other job and people that worked there, but the time we get together now is by far the best thing that has happened in a long time! This summer we got to camp, ride, hike, and hunt from July on! We have made so many memories its hard to even remember what they are. We are constantly busy now but the real kicker is we get to run TOGETHER! The girls have loved it and have been much happier too.

Daddy loves his new job and its pretty nice to see him getting dirty again. We are so blessed!

Visit with Friends

098099

July was a busy month, but we were able to take some time out and go up to Spokane to visit with our good buddies and reason I’m trying to attempt this 31 for 21 challenge. Would I have even known this challenge existed five years ago?? NO! We are forever grateful to the Stevenson clan for opening our eyes to a whole new world and making us better people.

We had so much fun playing in the sun at the water park and we even got to snuggle with our newest member of the friend family Corwin! It was so nice to get some girl time with my friends. I wish it could happen more often.

Four Legs are Just as Good as Two!

10599290_10152670890562299_1011108788931816601_n

After having a close call with Bruiser last week we’ve all been pretty emotional with our four legged friends lately. We are thankful to have had such good luck with our pets and have the loving companions we do. Last week Bruiser had breathing issues and now may possibly have a tumor in his nose which is scary. We are hoping its nothing and he is continuing to get better so we are so lucky to have had the vet staff we did to keep him with us for the time being. Lets just say its been an emotional week. Addilynn was not happy when she found out that we took Bruiser to the same place that Kila had to go to and never came home. Its so hard for little minds to understand these things. Her words, “You took him to the same place you took Kila?? Go get him I don’t want him there. Kila never came home” (in between sobs cut) to the bone, and brought back bad memories. Lets hope we don’t have to suffer a loss like that any time soon.

Every season brings back memories of the past and makes new memories for the girls to add to the memory bank. Last night while decorating for Halloween I remembered all the times we dressed up the dogs and it brought a smile to my face which is the reason I decided to dedicated this blog post to my furry friends.

Bruiser is 10 and has been our first baby since he was thee days old when we picked him out. I think I may have done a better job on his baby book than I have on the girls! He may not be the girls best friend but he sure is a good companion to the adults. You can find him most nights snuggled up between us in the bed or laying between our legs warm and cozy under the covers. For being such a crabby old thing he sure has taken to Paisley. Maybe because she doesn’t talk much or try to pick him up, but if he has to chose a spot to sit, its by her. At night sometimes he will even sneaks in to sleep on her bed with her.

Marshall Stuart Turner came to us a little after we lost Kila. He was meant to be a distraction for the girls and has been that and so much more. Although we still have meltdowns about missing her, he has filled some pretty big shoes and has done it with ease! Marshall is kila in a black lab puppy body. Everyday this little pup amazes us. He loves the girls unconditionally and has been such a good boy. We are so lucky to have him in our lives.

So hopefully this didn’t bore everyone, but I felt it necessary to document a little about them. After all they are a VERY important part of our lives!
