Monday we got to stay home and have family come see us! Mom, Ralph, Bri, Ryder, Camber, and Doe Doe came to visit and have pizza! My poor mom had to wait so long for the girls to open gifts it almost killed her! The girls couldn’t even keep up with the rate she was having them open gifts! She loves them so much it makes me so excited to give her another one to love unconditionally. The girls had a great time together and I feel so blessed to have my niece so close in age to Addilynn. Addilynn was really spoiled yet again and they both enjoyed eating lots of pizza, playing play doh and having a Taylor Swift dance party with Grammy and I! That wrapped up our holiday events and now we have been enjoying all the wonderful things Addilynn got. We are so thankful for our family and spreading the holidays out so we could enjoy our own family time. It was a wonderful year and I feel so fortunate to have the wonderful family we do! Until next year Merry Christmas from the Turner Family!

Day 4: Christmas Day!
Christmas Day was my favorite day! This year we decided to STAY home Christmas morning. It was AMAZING! I will say I did miss all of our family and old traditions, but our new tradition is just what the Dr. ordered! Addilynn got a crib and stroller for her babies and a puppy that walks on a leash. She got lots of good toys and we were actually able to play with them all that morning. I had put a breakfast casserole in the crock pot so we didn’t have to even cook breakfast. I can’t even count the number of games of Hungry Hippos we played which is a good thing. Addilynn was in a pretty goofy mood as you can tell from the pictures. All in all I would have to say BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!
At about 1:30 it was time to head to Coeur d’ Alene to visit more family. When we got there Addilynn had a touch of the flu bug and wasn’t much fun. I don’t blame the little beast she was just plain exhausted by then. I forgot my camera yet again and I’m really bummed about it since we never get to see that side of the family for holidays. It was nice to get to visit the little bit that I did since I was frequenting the bathroom and cuddling my sick baby girl. We finally got home and rested up for the last day of Christmas that was to come the next afternoon.
Day 3: Christmas Eve
First off on Christmas Eve we went and visited Papa Frank and Grandma Doris. Bri and Camber went with Addilynn and I while Dustin was at work. It was nice to visit with them although it was sad that we didn’t get to go when the rest of the family was there. I guess when you have such a large family unfortunately you have to sacrifice sometimes. They got the girls blankets that are wrapped in a pillow. They are super soft and they were great entertainment for the girls the whole time we were there. I was a bad mom and didn’t take my camera in, so I don’t have any pictures of that adventure.
After Dad got off work(a little early yay) headed out to Kari and Darrin’s to hang out with the Turner family. It was very nice to see all the family! We even got to see Kim, Jay, the boys, and baby Addison that came from North Dakota. Dinner was great again, and Addilynn loved holding baby Addison. She got some pretty princess cups and we had a great time catching up with everyone. Mommy even got to hold baby Addison for awhile and it made me even more excited that we are going to have one (if all goes as planned) in July! I will have to get in shape though because my arm was sure dead after awhile. Its amazing how even the smallest bundles get so heavy!
Just about the time when Addilynn had enough excitement for one day it was time to pack up again and head to Aunt B’s for the famous Sines Christmas Eve party. I didn’t see Addilynn much she had such a good time playing with all the young kids. She even roped Bretters into walking her around the house in Rachel’s old skates. It was super cute and I think we will be getting her a pair in the near future along with lots of padding. What wasn’t so cute was when she decided to come skating into the kitchen all by herself. I just about had a heart attack! Addilynn got scared of Santa so she didn’t make it on his lap this time! Auntie had to console her and make her feel all better. We finally made it home and it was time for bed for miss A. She didn’t want to fall asleep by the tree this time she wanted to go to her own bed so I guess that is the end of that tradition!
Day 2: Friday 12-23-11
Day 2 was spent with Dustin’s family. Kari, Darrin, Dj, Kadee, Justin, and Nana. Again we were all spoiled rotten. Addilynn got a Tinker Bell desk that she can’t get enough of. We had another good dinner and more good quality time with family. This is a picture of Addilynn holding her kitty cat she loves so much. Dustin and I both got off work late, but it was the last day of work for me for an whole week!
Celebrating Christmas 1 Day at a Time!
Day 1:
Day one was spent with Dad, Lisa, Jaylee, Paige, Doris, and Ashton. We went up to Dad’s house directly after gymnastics. Which explains the outfit but not the hair. I will have to say that her daddy has been in charge mostly of dressing her and putting her hair up. Most of the time he doesn’t put her hair up, so she gets to use some crazy rubber band that doesn’t hold her hair all they way. Someday he will learn but until then my child gets to be the slacker of the class.
This was the start of Addilynn getting spoiled rotten. We had a wonderful dinner, and got to get some quality time in with family. We normally try to pack it all into one day but it was much nicer this time spreading it out. I’m not really sure what this look is all about, but she was so excited for her baby alive doll. Mom found out real quick that this was going to be the messiest present of all! She loves it though so that’s all that matters.
Michael Family Christmas Party 12-17
Party number one was the weekend before Christmas at the Michael Family Christmas Party. We went out to uncle Punk’s shop and Addilynn had a successful visit from Santa. The only one might I add. She did really good and I thought that maybe just maybe this was the end of her Santa fear. Addilynn got a bear, camera, and playdoh from Santa at this party and she kept saying, “Santa gave my bear back.” I tried to explain to her that he didn’t take it from her in the first place but apparently I didn’t get through to her since all other Santa visits were a flop!
This is what Addilynn does when she has stickers. Don’t ask me why, but she does it every time! I guess we will have to keep baby oil on hand for awhile until she grows out of this phase! This was on the way home from the party.

Fourth Annual Tree Hunt…
…And cookie making day!
This was our fourth year finding a tree at Forever Green Tree Farm together! What a great tradition it has been. I hope Jaylee can be around next year for it since she will be leaving for college. *insert tears here!
The trees were pretty picked over this year but we found one that was “short and fat” the girls said. Oh well it was perfect and the perfect price too! Man do I love groupon. After Dustin massacred the bottom it really did look like a Christmas ball instead of a Christmas tree. After finding a tree and munching on hot chocolate and cookies we waited for a horse ride. Addilynn loves to ride the horses! I think auntie P does too.
2010 2011
cookie making was a hit. Addilynn at first didn’t want to make cookies she wanted to play with Play Doh so I lied and told her the cookie dough was in fact play doh. Well it worked and she ended up having a good time with her aunties!
The CDA Light Cruise 12-7-2011
This is the look of terror! Lets just say Addilynn wasn’t a fan of any thing but the lights on the cruise.
I thought it would be so much fun for Addilynn to see all the lights, but I didn’t realize she would have such a fear of all the other Christmas characters that came along with it. The night started off by her being paranoid by people walking behind us. “hurry dada those people are following us. They're too close dad hurry!” I really hope my people anxiety isn’t rubbing off on her. Then, after we got our tickets of course a Christmas moose greets us at the boat line. “Crystal, you should have known,” I tell myself at this point. Then the panic sets in. It’s not like a normal panic its like hyperventilate panic and real tears panic. “I don’t want to see the moose! I don’t want to see the moose!” She did fine when she got to hide her head and get carried to the boat. I was picturing what the rest of the night would be like in my head at this point since I had been on the cruise before and remembered Santa would be there later in the night. Well to make this a shorter story, she LOVED the lights, hated Santa, and really hated that the moose followed US back up the board walk. Come on people if you are dressed up and you see a little girl freaking out stop waving to her and definitely DON”T follow her. Everyone around us could see the panic and were even laughing at it. Laughing? yes I’m not sure why. I knew the aftermath wasn’t going to be good since our daughter struggles with night terrors. Poor baby girl! Then the night got funny…
After the cruise we went to dinner with Trask, Kelly, her sister Kate, and Kate’s son Fin. There was a magician there who was actually really good. He did the classic coin in the ear trick to the kids and Addilynn didn’t think that was funny. Pretty soon she started digging in her ears then her hands covered them and she didn’t take them off until he was gone. This guy was NOT getting anymore money from her! Later we asked her if she had any more money in her ears. Her response, “ I DO NOT have money in my ears.” Then we asked her if she had any dirt in her ears. “I DO NOT have dirt and I DO NOT have money in my ears.” she didn’t think it was funny, but everyone else got a kick out of it!

Thanksgiving 2011
This Thanksgiving we only went to two places (Kari and Darrin’s and Bonnie and Jerry’s)and it was nice to not have to run but sad to not see all of my family. There are just not enough hours in the holidays to see everyone and I guess that is something I will have to get used to! I hate to think of the day that we have to alternate years to eliminate the rush of holidays! Addilynn enjoyed getting to spend time with everyone and she found something to eat at each place. She loved the inside of the deviled eggs. I would have to say that and the meat were her favorite!
The new generation of hood rats causing trouble! They had so much fun playing together. It’s hard to believe someday they will be “too big” to be around the grown ups and will congregate in the basement where each generation of pre teens and teens have hung out.
Addilynn had a play date with Mr. Kelby again over break and they managed to have a blast like always! Addilynn enjoyed Jessica’s turkey cookies and had the blue icing stains on her hands for a couple days afterward to prove it.
This last picture I LOVE. Addilynn and I went to Coeur d’ Alene to shop on Saturday. Addilynn loves her binoculars so much she takes them in the car and is constantly looking out the window with them. We just so happened to see thousands of birds on the lake so we just had to pull over and observe them. Addilynn was so excited her loud squeals spooked them and they started to fly. It was one of the neatest sounds to hear that many wings flapping at the same time! What a great experience my little tinkerbell fairy and I got to share!
