The girls LOVE to get their fingernails and toes painted, so we made a mess doing manis and pedis!
MiMi decided that she wanted to brave the girls and make candy together! They did great. It was a lot of fun and great memories even though poor mimi wasn’t feeling the greatest.
We finally made the appointment for Addilynn’s first haircut. To be quite honest, I was just as anxious as Addilynn. She was so nervous but I did my best to hide my nerves for her. We got loaded in the car just the two of us and she got extremely sad and wanted her sister and daddy to come and watch her. She was convinced, no matter how much we talked about it, that it was going to hurt. It broke my heart to see her so worked up. In the end she was so happy she did it, and so are we. It is so pretty and healthy now and so much easier to brush. All in all she got about 5 inches cut off and we were so thankful it was Tia that got to be a part of this special moment.
This is by far my favorite holiday tradition so far. The finding of the tree. This year was a little off because of weather. Normally we look for a tree, go on a ride on the horse drawn sleigh, and skim through the amazing things in the store at the tree farm. This year it was too cold for the horses and for us for that matter. Paisley hated being bundled and cold and screamed the entire time. Lets just say this was the shortest trip to the farm we’ve ever made!
Making cookies was a hit this year for both girls! Auntie Jaylee had to work swing shift so we made cookies in the morning so that we could all be together! Paisley did more eating than frosting but Addilynn was a real artist.
After the tree was cut and wrapped we had dinner at The Dog House. It was warm and friendly with great food and was a perfect addition to the afternoon.
Decorating was so much fun this year too! Addilynn did almost everything by herself but poor sissy was so bushed she only made it a few minutes in.
Anything you can do, I can do better!
Its very rare to get Paisley looking and “smirking” at the camera.
Addilynn on the other hand is a model for the camera.
This year we didn’t get to go to our usual patch because they were closed on Wednesdays but we still managed to have a good time. The weather was cold but sunny and no rain which is a plus. The girls loved riding in the wagon although Paisley put her teeth through her lip. We got to go to dinner with Pete, baby Pete and Shena afterward which was a blast.

After searching and searching Addilynn picked a green pumpkin. It ended up getting bumped in the process and rotted before she could carve it but she didn’t seem to mind when the time came that she had to switch pumpkins.
Addilynn, Paisley, and I are always looking for things to do on days that daddy has to work! This day I thought I would try my hand at salt dough. It was a lot of fun but I really thought it would last a bit longer then it did. It was a short lived project but we still enjoyed it.
Addilynn got to use real paint but of course since Paisley eats everything I thought I better make her edible paint. Great choice made by me I have to say!
