Cat Tales 5/8/13

We went over to Spokane and stayed with uncle Jake and nanny M the night before we went to Cat Tales. Of course we didn’t end up getting there until late and our daughter thought it would be a great idea to run through the sprinklers in the dark!

We got up early and visited Cat Tales with Trask, Kelly, and Kasen. Paisley and Kasen rode together in their double stroller Kasen wasn’t a fan of Paisley invading her bubble! Paisley kept falling over toward her as if she were doing it on purpose! Addilynn loved the cats but it wasn’t as exciting as we had hoped. The cats enclosures were pretty small and we were able to go through the whole park in under an hour. On a positive note, the weather was perfect and the kids got to enjoy the outdoors while we got to enjoy watching them!

New Camera

First before I start to get excited I have to say Addilynn had her third gymnastics recital on May 11th. I can’t find any pictures so I’m guessing my mom skills were lacking that day which make me mad at myself! The theme was wild west and Addilynn loved it! Mrs. Dani did great again and I hope she wants to continue doing gymnastics next year!

Now… my new camera! Dustin surprised me on mothers day by making me breakfast burritos and writing me a sweet note letting me know he was taking me to town to splurge! I LOVE my camera but have realized I have so so much to learn. I can’t wait to get better.

My first picture of course was of my model! I’m pretty sure Paize doesn’t like my camera and made it a point to NOT smile. She’s getting better now though!

I had fun taking pictures of Paige playing softball. She looked so pretty in all of the pictures she was pitching in. She had a big grin in every one I took.

We took the camper up to camp on May 15th Addilynn was sad we didn’t get to stay but I was able to get it all cleaned out and ready for when we did get to stay!

Addilynn’s First Dance Recital

5/4/13
Addilynn had her first dance recital themed Arabian Nights. her group was the “stars”. She had so much fun getting dolled up and owning the stage. It was the first time I had witnessed her being in a little posse. I only wish I could have heard the first part of the conversation when one of the girls came up to her whispered something and Addilynn replied, “she said that to you?” with a little attitude. The little girl replied with the same attitude, “ya she said that to ME!” it was super cute and I flashed forward to her being a teenager in high school. It was a bittersweet moment. I’m glad to see her starting to interact but sad to see her growing up so fast. I wish I could stop time for awhile and capture her innocence. What little she has left!

Abby, Emma, and Addilynn working the camera!

Addilynn and one of her best buddies Cassia. Cassia goes to the same school with her and most of her stories from school include her so I’m pretty sure they pal around a lot. Lets hope they can continue to grow their friendship.

Addilynn’s tap routine was to Arabian Nights from the movie Aladdin, and her ballet routine was to A Whole New World from the movie Aladdin.

Addilynn also got her hair and nails done professionally for the first time that day! Tia made her feel like the princess she is. She asked for Zebra heads on her nails then proceeded to explain to Tia how to paint them. “Its not that hard to do!” She says!

May Day

Addilynn leaned the joy of May Day this year. She cut and glued every flower by herself. She had so much fun sneaking up on her Mimi and Nona. We didn’t get to sneak up on Grammy because she was at work, but she did get her pretty basket of flowers!

Paise wasn’t that involved in the flower making. She mostly sat in her chair eating pancakes.

Addilynn is getting very good at cutting and writing letters. She has been learning so much. The other day she wrote an entire thank you just by me telling her what letters to write! I’m so proud of my smarty pants. She doesn’t like school much though. She says its boring and she refuses to practice anything at home so hopefully her teachers have more patience than I do!

4/11 playing at the park enjoying sunshine. Paisley loves the swings but also loves to eat wood chips!

Daddy’s birthday brownies! Addilynn decorated them all by herself. She even wrote dad on them with daddy’s favorite color blue! 4/14

Addilynn is my pizza making fool! We have so much fun making pizza together! 4/28
