Challis Rae Bonds 11/26/12

untitled

Little miss Challis entered the world very early on November 26th, 2012 weighing in at 7lbs 4oz and 21 1/4 inches long.

I will forever be grateful to Kadee and Justin for letting me experience this amazing blessing. I am still in awe of what it is like to watch a miracle enter the world. Kadee did amazing! She never once complained about pushing or the flood of people coming in and out. She was a real trooper. I could have never been that calm with my first. I am so proud of the mother she has become and what she went through to give us this tiny precious baby girl. I am so thankful that I was a part of it.

Addilynn is in love with her new baby cousin, and I am in love with the way Addilynn pronounces her name! It is so great to see the love that she has for her. I can’t wait to see the three girls interact over the years.

Congratulations Kadee and Justin, you’ve made one heck of a baby girl!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving this year was very upsetting for me. We started out the day just great and headed out to Mimi and Poppy’s house for dinner. I barely got half my plate down when I was struck by the flu! After spending most of the night in a bathroom that wasn’t my own I decided it was time to go home. I didn’t make it to my family’s dinner but Dustin was nice enough to take the girls for me, I was so bummed that I missed miss Paisley’s first Thanksgiving with my family. I was bummed that I didn’t get any more pictures than I did. I’m so glad that my girls got to spend time with their families.

Sleeping Beauties and Odds and Ends

11/23/12 Addilynn fell asleep in the Boppy pillow and couldn’t help but snap pictures of her.

11/24/12 Paisley fell asleep with her mouth open. She was so cute that I couldn’t resist taking pictures of her!

Addilynn Being silly 11/17/12

Since we don’t get to see daddy on the weekends much we try to go have breakfast with him every once in awhile. Unfortunately we haven’t been going because things have been so crazy! Last month we made it down on one Saturday 11/24 to eat B’s and G’s with Daddy!

We happened to be up at Nona and Papa’s one weekend and Addilynn suckered her Papa into giving her a ride home on the 4-wheeler. She also got to go to the gas station with papa where papa got to see first hand how FRIENDLY our daughter really is! She is quite the social butterfly and knows no stranger. So needless to say anytime you take her anywhere, a five minute trip turns into a 25 min trip because she has to have a conversation with everyone! Papa was worried about not having a helmet for miss A but she informed him it would be just fine and he could just be really careful!

Disney on Ice

This year Nona took us to Disney on Ice. 11/14/12 Addilynn LOVED it. At first she was a little unsure but it didn’t take long before she was singing all the songs, dancing, and swearing that all the princesses were waving just at her! She got lots of nice gifts. From Grammy she got a coloring book and program, from Nanny she got popcorn and a light wand and from us she got a different light wand. Thank you so much Nona for this wonderful tradition and paying for our tickets, and thank you everyone else that bought her goodies. She loved them all! It was truly a great girls night out.

Unfortunately I lost all of my pictures when my IPhone crashed so I only have these three. I wish I would have remembered my camera this night!

Post Full of Firsts!

First taste of cereal 11/11/12

At first Paize wasn’t a fan of being hungry and not getting to nurse. She was pretty upset when we set her in the chair and put this foreign plastic thing around her neck. After she got her first taste she was hooked! We started feeding her solids because her reflux had gotten tremendously worse. We were thinking that the thickened feeds would help some of her issues. After about a week, she wasn’t getting any better so we decided to take her food away and wait to talk to the doctor. We had to change her medicine because Dr. wanted to increase the dose and it would have been $240 a month which we would do if we had to, but it wasn’t working anymore anyway so we thought we would try a cheaper version first. We will see if it works. It seems to be doing great as of now its been 5 days and she has been sleeping much better. After about a solid week of feeling better I think we will try the cereal again because the Dr. said it should help. One step at a time!

First day at the new daycare 11/12/12

We are a few weeks into the new school and the girls love it.

Because I’ve got “Baby #2 Syndrome”

YES its been almost a month since my last post! I have been very sick with a thing called “baby #2 syndrome.” Those of you that haven’t heard of it let me explain. It is a common disease in which a mother of two completely looses track of time therefore forgoing blog posts, getting her hair done, taking pictures, and sometimes even getting dressed in the morning! Some common complaints from people suffering from this disease are: lightheadedness (from not eating/sleeping correctly), exhaustion (from chasing a whirlwind toddler), weight gain (from who knows what since I should be 100lbs from going a million miles an hour), lack of adventure (from exhaustion), lack of friends, lack of social anything, a disgusting house, lack of clothes (from not having time to do laundry) and COMPLETE and UTTER HAPPINESS!!

I can say having a second child has been the biggest blessing since the first one and we are so glad that we did! We have been filled with so many amazing firsts with both of the girls I ‘m super bummed that I’ve been slacking in the blogging department. Since this IS a form (the only for poor Paisley) of a baby book for my girls,  I need to get on it!

Things I promise to blog about and catch up on shortly are: First days of new school, fist taste of cereal, Dr. checkups, new meds, Thanksgiving, visits to daddy’s work, and last but most exciting baby Challis!

All of that will have to wait because I am out of time!

Here are some pictures from a road hunt we went on to Clarkia. We stopped and visited Ggma and Gpapa and had a great lunch! Addilynn loves to play with all of the same toys her daddy played with when he was a little lad. The last one is my favorite. Addilynn was fighting a nap so hard, that she fell asleep with her leap pad stylus in her mouth!

Halloween Halloween Trick or Treat

Our costumes can’t be beat!

Addilynn has been singing this song for the last couple weeks. All of her favorite shows have Halloween themes and catchy little songs. This year we had a Witch and her black cat. We did the run around first and then Addilynn actually got to trick or treat like a normal kid! She loved it this year. My little outgoing princess fits right in with this holiday. She would say, “Trick or Treat. Can I come in??”

Goodbye Camp 10/21/12

We finally pulled the camper out of camp! It was a very sad day especially for miss A. She was devastated. We had a quick and frustrating visit! We brought the camper all the way to fernwood to dump (we stored it in Clarkia) and they had no water. Then we couldn’t get the plug off to winterize it. Needless to say it was a wasted trip! The only thing we got done was getting out of the house and snapping a few pictures.

This was the reaction we got when we hooked the camper up and Dustin started pulling it out. Real tears and everything. The poor kid doesn’t understand why we can’t just stay at camp all year long!

These pictures make me laugh because once again I am my mother! And any other mother for that matter. I used to make fun of my mom for taking a ton of pictures of me doing the same exact thing in the same exact outfit! Well here are my “mother pictures” I loved the expression on her face in each of them. So, yes mother I’m sorry for always making fun of you for the pictures in my baby book!
