My first word.... sort of!

So many of you might be thinking I'm crazy, and I am but that is why you all like me so much!!! From the title I'm sure you guessed it, Addilynn said her first word and can you guess what it was???? Here is a clue: it makes me very happy..... you are right MA MA!!! I was so excited. She didn't mean to do it(she has no clue she is saying it but that is beside the point:)It did make me feel better when I took her in to her 6 month visit and they asked me if she had been saying any words like dada or baba and I was so excited to say yes she says ma ma. It even made me more happy when she said it while Jordan(her pediatrician) was in the room! Most of the time she says it when she is mad but she has said it a few times when she is happy so that makes up for it. I filmed her the other day saying it but she is pretty pissed in the video so you might want to turn the sound down just a bit so it doesn't blow your speakers! I actually tried to film her doing that weird fish lips thing that you will see when you watch but ended up getting both. What a score! Enjoy, and I hope everyone has a great and safe New Year. Talk to you all again in 2010 WOW that is crazy it seems like yesterday everyone was freaking about Y2K.

Christmas 2009 with Miss Addilynn Grace

4 Christmases... plus some

Today marks the start of a crazy four days! I will post our agenda so if we come up missing you all will know where to start looking.
Thursday: Gma gpa Sines then Sines xmas party at Aunt B's
Friday: Xmas morning with the baby, Dad and Lisa's, then off to CDA to spend Xmas day with Nanny and Bapa(we haven't done this forever!)
Saturday: Clarkia for Dustin's parents then to Turner party in Boville
Sunday Mom and Ralph with gma shirley at our house for bfast then rush off to Emida for Michael side
So this gives you an idea of how crabby and tired the baby is going to be come Monday! Good thing I have the week off so I can spend it getting her back into her routine. She likes her routine!
This week has been great we got to meet up with some old family friends so they could meet the baby. Of course I didn't have my camera but Steph did so hopefully she can get me some pictures! Talk to everyone later have a wonderful Christmas!

Holiday Fun

We have been pretty busy since the last post getting ready for the holidays. This year will be a blast since we have little miss attitude! She already is in love with opening presents which is a shock since I really didn't anticipate much action this year since she is so little but boy was I wrong. She loves Santa and wrapping paper. She has been pretty spoiled this year already so we didn't even buy her much! She will never know that her parents are cheap:)
Lets see since last post Turd has stood up to her name and left me 3 little floaters in the tub... I was horrified I didn't know what to do. I was gagging the whole time I had to pull them out of the bath water!!!)
She has sat on Santa's lap TWICE! she loved him each time and even tried to pull off his beard which didn't go over well.
She has gotten better moving around. The other day I wasn't paying much attention (which I know is bad but when you go from having a stationary child to a mover it is hard to get used to!) and she had slipped her chubby little arm through the coffee table and grabbed a notepad and was tearing it to shreds!
She can now get up on hands and knees and bounce but face plants every time she tries to move.
She has mastered the skills of opening presents, fake choking, screaming when tired, and going backward in the walker!

Thinking of Josh

Amanda's (Addilynn's sitter) brother Josh has been injured in Afghanistan. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers while he goes through surgery.

Our first tree!

We had a blast this weekend. Addilynn got to get our first tree as a family. We started a tradition last year with my sisters and it is still going strong for year number two. We pick out our tree, Dustin and Paige cut it down, go to the store and buy cookie supplies, bake them, listen to Christmas music and decorate the tree. I should tell the truth though Jaylee usually ends up making most of the cookies while Paige and I decorate the tree. I'm pretty sure Paige and I get the hardest job :)

Saturday morning we went down to Christmas in St. Maries and got pictures with Santa and Addilynn had her first horse and carriage ride. She loved it and even loved Santa.

Then we went to the tree farm and picked out the best tree ever! It was really cold but we powered through it and Dustin and Paige had the Honor of cutting it down. We got it home and made the best cranberry white choc chip cookies!
