One week old already

Well miss Addilynn Grace is a week old already! I can't believe how fast time is going. We have had so many great visitors and now things are starting to wind down so we are getting to spend more time just the three of us! We love our new little addition to the family. She is a great baby. The only time she gets fussy is when she is fighting sleep. Yesterday she was up for almost 8 hours straight because she didn't want to miss anything. I guess I can't complain when she is awake and fussy though because she slept from 10:30-3:00 and that is a good sleep for a little one! She has been letting us get plenty of sleep that we didn't think we would be getting when we brought her home from the hospital. Last night one thing Addilynn taught us was that Little Tummies gas drops work wonders! We learn something new about our princess every day. Here are some pictures from the last week.

Her outfit from aunt Britt... look how big her hands are!

her bird mouth!
I love just watching her sleep!
Auntie Doris put her to sleep after a long fight. In her crib for the first time!

Baby big bird onesie that Aunt Jaylee made her
Look at all my chins everyone... it makes bath time fun for mommy and daddy!
uncle Dj finally got to hold me after his baseball game. It was our first outside outing!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that has come to visit us we really appreciate everything everyone has done for us. All the cute little dresses and support have made this week perfect (with the help of Addilynn that is!)

Addilynn Grace Turner

Addilynn Grace was born on June 23rd at 4:51 P.M. She was 9lbs 9oz and 22 inches long. She was as big as we thought plus some! We love her so much and are spending every moment figuring out how to care for her. Dustin has been great like I knew he would be it has been amazing watching him as a father.

As far as we know she is perfectly fine and there were no effects from her two vessel cord, but they had to send her placenta off for genetic testing since her risks were so high. We should know more at her 10 day check.

Labor wasn't much fun, we went through 22 hours of hard labor but only pushed for 30 minutes! The end result was what we have been waiting for for the last 41 weeks. She is the best, and cute too! Hope you all enjoy the pictures and I will try to update again as soon as possible

still prego!

Well, I'm sure most of you know that I still have this giant baby in my belly! I am now three days overdue and pretty sure it is going to wait until I am induced on Tuesday. Now my only hope is that we don't get bumped that day so no other women can go into labor on Tuesday! We have been trying everything to go into labor, but nothing seems to be working. I guess it just isn't ready so we will keep waiting. I am trying keep my spirits up, but there are times when I slip just because I can't sleep and almost every part of my body is hurting. I did get some great candid shots of Dustin sleeping cuddling the dog the other night! What better things do I have to do in the middle of the night besides my 5 run potty habit? He said if I posted them on here or myspace he would kill me or better yet, take a picture of me in the shower and post it. I better mind my manners cuz we all don't want to see that!!!! Hope everyone is having a great week and it is the weekend again woo hoo!

Finally have a date!

Today we went into the Dr. and got some good news finally! My cervix is only a fingertip open, but he said that is OK and most women with first babies don't dilate much before they go into labor. He said that it is softening and I have dropped since last week. The baby's head is engaged and he can no longer move it around like he used to so that means my uterus is shrinking down. The best part is that we have a date now. He said if baby isn't here by my appt. on the 22nd then he will start induction on the 23rd. Only one more week at the most. I think I can handle that! My due date is officially tomorrow, but we will see when this child wants it's birthday!

Less than a week left

I am getting pretty excited for the baby to get here. It has been really hard this last week and a half. Some days I feel like it should be here by now and others I am not sure I'm ready! We went to the Dr. again today and I didn't have him check me in fear that I wouldn't be dilated. I didn't want another let down like last week. I have two more days of work left, and I think after that time might slow down but I will be a lot less tired which is a plus! Today I feel great, like I could be pregnant forever, but tomorrow during work and after I'm sure that will change! I am having spaghetti tonight for dinner which I heard can sometimes stimulate labor and I'm going to try and get my husband to do what he has been scared of!!! Maybe that will kick start things and I will have this baby at least in the next week. I can't imagine going anymore than that.
This week started off rough, my grandpa had another issue with his heart and has been in Sacred Heart since Monday. We went over to visit him Monday night (although my entire family including my grandpa was against me traveling) and he seemed in good spirits. He should be getting out today or tomorrow but is going to be on some horrible meds for life from what it sounds like. I just wish they would get things figured out so he could stop having these heart scares! Oh and I found out my uncle gets out of prison on the 26th. I'm not quite sure what to think about that, but I guess I have to think positive!
This weekend we have a baseball game to watch... if this giant aching body will allow, and other than that pretty much nothing until the baby gets here!

One more week down!

This week has gone by pretty quickly, but I can tell I am starting to slow way down! Graduation went well. We got to dance and Dustin got to sing! We stayed out a little too late for a prego, but it was worth it! Then Sunday Paige and Jaylee put together the swing for the little one.
Paige has been bugging Dustin to put in a rope swing for her. She spotted the tree branch and hasn't given up since so that was a project that her and Dustin worked on Sunday as well.

The finished product! She wasn't too sure of it when she actually started swinging on it but it was fun for the time being!

This is the giant sliver that I got in my toe during our dinner out on the porch Sunday. It might not look big but it was and it hurt!

I had been having contractions since Sunday, and thought that maybe it was getting close to time until my hopes were shattered after my appointment today! I am still closed and high which really sucks. I told myself I wouldn't be sad but somehow my hormones got the best of me. They have been winning that game a lot lately!
We are very ready to meet the little one, but it will come when it's ready.
Another good note is that our friend Beau is doing good and is a week old already! I just can't wait to meet him when he is bigger and out of the NICU. We love seeing updates and check them at least three times a day to see how he is doing and to see if we get to see anymore pictures!
Tomorrow is Dj's 8th grade graduation AKA literary lemonade, and the family is going out to eat and meeting at Kadee's for pie afterward! I can't believe he will be in high school. He was just a little guy when we started dating. I think he was in Kindergarten. Wow how time flies!
I have 6 days of work left and that is the big countdown right now since it really sucks to bend over my patients with a giant melon in the way! I can't really see without torquing my body and that makes for uncomfortable nights and days! Plus, the air conditioner is broken there and every night when we are about to leave it is 80 degrees! My boss and her husband have been great he called to check on me the other day and she brought me a frozen washcloth for my neck during one of my appointments! I love working for them! Dustin has been great through the whole thing as well (which makes me want to come home at night even more!) and keeps telling me I am allowed to complain since I haven't complained much through the whole thing! What a sweetie!
All in all it has been a pretty good week! Hope everyone is doing great and enjoying the nice weather we have been having!
