Addilynn’s 1st Recital

slide

Addilynn had her first recital tonight. She is usually a big ham but tonight she froze! As soon as she noticed all of the people watching she went into “baby” mode and didn’t want to do it anymore. She definitely didn’t want to do her cartwheels they were way too close to the audience! All in all she did awesome for being barely two and her parents thought she was the cutest thing ever! We are some proud parents of our little baby girl! I am already excited for the next one. I was going to post a video but it says I have 499 min left so maybe I will have the patience to try again some other day! Here is a picture of Addilynn at the park with her bud Blayze on Wednesday! 008 copy

A Few Highlights

creek3

Here are a few pictures to highlight our week.

creek2

We got to go camping again this weekend and had a blast like always. We even got some much needed fishing and creek sitting time. Addilynn asks now to “go on a big ride” because she is tired of the little short ones we give her to just satisfy her for the time being! We went to camp 40 and the boys put up the sign that Uncle Mikes name is on. Addilynn learned to plug her ears after listening to a couple of rounds shot from some loud guns and she really wasn’t a fan. family

Everyone brought a “special drink” to camp and this was one of them. I’m pretty sure Dustin is saying, “you want me to do what??” I have never seen a guy look so into (or intimidated by) what women are telling him to do! bananas

Addilynn got to ride her first horse. I didn’t think it was going to go well when we were pulling into the fairgrounds and as soon as she spotted the horses she says, “I no like horses momma.” I’m sure you can guess how heart broken I was by this statement. As you can see, she eventually warmed up to them so much we got to witness her very first fit because she didn’t want to be done riding! If we are lucky we will get to see more of these!

This is Snapper. Addilynn loved him and still talks about him!

Last night Addilynn had her first skeeter bug attack. We watched daddy play softball and I didn’t even think the bugs were out but apparently they got her. I feel horrible because I didn’t even think to spray her. She has welts all over her legs. The one I really worry about is bigger than a quarter. Poor little baby!

This week we have Addilynn’s first “recital” I can’t wait to get some good pictures and hopefully some video of it!

Cousin Campout and More…

july 022 bike

We haven’t been to our camp since fourth of July but last weekend was cousin campout at Misty meadows. Dustin, Addilynn, and I enjoyed seeing the family we don’t get to see very often and of course the family we do see as well! Addilynn was a doll the whole weekend. She did take a bit longer to get down for bed but can you blame her? She didn’t want to miss anything her cousins were doing. She ate, slept and played so wonderfully all weekend we were so proud of her!She got to ride bikes, play in the mud, and even play in the river. She was a little scared of the boats and extremely terrified of the waves the poor little thing! She ate lots of hotdogs and went through lots of clothes, but that is what camping is all about! Here are a few pictures from the last couple weeks. We are looking forward to more good times this weekend back at camp and then spending more time with friends and family the next weekend. We have a busy summer still so be prepared for a ton of pictures!

4th of July Week

addilynn2

Well, we will get the bad out of the way first. This week was a very emotional one. We lost a very dear family member/friend. You don’t realize how much you love someone and wish you would have spent more time with them, until they are no longer with you. We will miss him and think of him always. So many things in this town remind us of you. We love you and you have left an impression on our hearts deeper than you will ever know! See you later Cory

We have been in a daze since the 4th and I haven’t had much time to update, but here goes! For the most part the 4th was good. The weather was nice and we got to spend it with my family and our friends. We finally were able to make it to the cross and plant the flowers that we usually get planted memorial weekend! I also had a lot of time off which was nice to get to spend it with my little peanut. We didn’t get much done around the house (in fact, part of our suitcase is still packed… oops) but we did get to spend some time with family.

Addilynn got to go to Chuck E Cheese today with some of her great aunts and Great Gma and Gpa. She had a blast and was exhausted when she got home. Her experience with the mouse came with mixed emotions. Once her sleepy head attitude wore off she told us all about her meeting with the masked mouse! She was excited to tell us he gave her a high five and that she blew him kisses she showed us her tattoos and wouldn’t let me pry her shirt off her body. Then when it was time to go to bed something in her mind changed about the mouse and I will not be surprised if she has nightmares about him! She started screaming on the potty that Chuck E Cheese was coming to get her. She went into panic mode and almost fell right off the pot. We had to talk her down and explain to her that he was at his home and he couldn’t leave there and we only went to visit when we wanted to. Do you think our two year old understood??? Well, lets hope so!

Addilynn has been very snotty since about 4 days after she turned two. Everything is now NO or uh uh and she only sleeps, eats, potties, and gets dressed when she wants. She is now calling things stupid (starting with my poor niece, after which she proceeded to tell me she doesn’t like babies) and ending with anything that ticks the little princess off. She ends her snotty orders by saying.. Ok… K. For example, she will say, “mom don’t touch my baby… ok… K.” I almost feel like I’m the goober that should know better! She is getting really good at rolling her eyes, stomping her feet, kicking the walls, and screaming bloody murder. So if I thought she hit the terrible 2s before boy was I wrong. Even with all the funny yet snotty things she is doing these days she is still learning so fast and growing up even faster. We are both amazed by the things she says and does everyday! We are very blessed (and cursed I might add) to have such a smart strong willed child.
