Food Coloring Picture Overload!

snowpaint6

Saturday we went out and played in the blizzard when Dad got home from work. Addilynn had to stay home from Grammy’s house because the roads were so bad so we decided to enjoy that yucky white stuff. I love this picture of Daddy warming up Addilynn’s hands. The rest are of us “painting” the snow! Who knew a little food coloring and water could be so much fun?

Just like grade school! D+C=A only in grade school it was a pretty heart instead our precious baby girl.

Sunday: Once again we made messes! It was wet and cold outside so we tried to enjoy the warmth of inside. First we did food coloring bubble painting. More stained hands and even some lips. Addilynn sucked once instead of blowing and she wasn’t a fan of soap! Maybe this will keep her from cussing in the future.

Next adventure in messes was bringing snow inside. We used food coloring and water again and molded, painted, and melted the snow into water. This was really out of my own selfishness since I HATE snow and Addilynn loves it. So we compromised. Addilynn got her snow and I got to stay warm and dry!

Now we wait for dad to get home so we can play some more!

Blue Monster

Saturday 2/25/12:    Weekends are pretty boring around the house now that Dustin is working, so Addilynn and I have to find our own ways to make fun. This was the end result of our finger painting mess!

It started out like any normal finger paint day. A couple painted fingers on the left hand and a blue finger on the right.

How much of a mess can we make??? It makes a cool noise when I clap my hands together!

Her arms, hair, and shirt were covered in blue and green paint. Needless to say this kid went straight to the shower where even warm water and soap couldn’t remove the stain!

Who Says Camp is Only fun in the Summer?

camp7

Today Addilynn says, “I wish I was in my camper.” So today we went to camp. This was the best we could do in the middle of winter! We knew they were logging up there and I had heard from a patient they logged everything around our campsite so we were curious to see what it looked like. Luckily it didn’t look all that bad BUT they aren’t done! We still have our trees, so hopefully they are still there come summer.

We had a ton of fun even though the wind was whipping and it was freezing cold. It felt good to get out in the sunshine even if it was interrupted occasionally by dark clouds. Addilynn enjoyed throwing snowballs, sledding, and getting muddy and wet. Mom of course was freezing so I stayed behind the camera and was only threatened with snowballs!

This is what the hill above camp looks like now. They are using our field to store the equipment.

Addilynn loved sledding down the much bigger hills at camp then we have around our house.

On the way home I  got this picture that I LOVE! Addilynn was caressing Sister’s head while she was snoozing on the car seat.

Addilynn’s Bowling Adventure

edit

Dustin and I took Addilynn bowling for the first time on Saturday. She was a natural! The ramp that they had for the little ones was great. Addilynn and her friend Izabel bowled two games Izy won the first and Addilynn the second! Then after building up an appetite bowling we had dinner. Not bad for a night out in St. Maries.

Addilynn celebrating a good roll!

Of course she would turn bowling into gymnastics. Her and Izy loved swinging on the bar just as much as bowling.

I had to take a picture of her score since she did better than almost all five adults that were bowling! Can’t wait to do it again.

A Day Outside 2/5/12

bikewalk
We are trying to take advantage of any sunshine we get around here! We spent almost two hours walking, running, biking, and strolling around the blocks of our neighborhood. Addilynn found her shadow and was so amazed by how it held hands with my shadow!

Can’t you tell that Bruiser loves being walked?

When we finally made it back home Mr. Squirrel visited us. It was so nice sitting in the sunshine on the trailer watching the birds and squirrels dance in the trees!
Baby update: I am starting to feel movement but it still is very infrequent. I can’t wait until Dustin can feel it too! I am 17 weeks 2 days! Sickness is getting a little better but I’m still more exhausted then I ever was with Addilynn. Addilynn thinks she has a baby in her belly and when she cries she says “you made my baby sister shake!” I wonder if she will be sad if it is a boy?

Baby Pete
