days go by

Nothing much has been going on this week so far. We finally got our kitchen mostly done. We still have a couple finishing touches left, but the counters are in and I have my sink back! It looks better than I thought it would so that makes me feel better.
Jr. Miss is going good we have a ton of girls and I have less than a week until I have to start teaching them the fitness dance. Alaina and I worked on it Sunday and now the hard part comes Monday... The TEACHING! ugh Wish me luck and I really hope I don't make a fool of my chunky self bouncing around on the gym floor!
Today on my day off, I am cleaning, somewhat organizing, washing, possibly hanging out with Katie Smith, and making a senior board for my little sister Doris. Her senior night for basketball is Friday only she doesn't get to play. She has two bulging disks in her back and bone spurs on her spine. Ouch! What a bummer. Other than that not much exciting has been going on.
The latest change in my body has really grossed me out but we wont go into much detail on that one! I will say I never thought it could happen but it did and I hate it!!! I just have to look at the prize in the end! I am finally over halfway there!

Counters

Today we began working on our counter tops. We went to Home Depot which sucked and was very stressful! It was busy and we spent lots of money which is never fun. Dustin has finally gotten the old tops off and now he is working on sanding the walls. We hope they will be done tonight but if not they should be done tomorrow. We are not 100% sure we love them yet, but they are better than fake wood grain. Our kitchen is almost complete and it should look good once it is done. The cabinets are a little darker than I was hoping, but Mom worked really hard and they look so much better than before. The good news is the whole project including stain, sealant, paint, glue, sandpaper, and counter tops only cost about $325 dollars. We had gift cards for $175 of it so that helped out a ton (Thanks Kim, Kari, Darrin, and Gma Kathy).

What a busy weekend we have had so far! Yesterday was the open house for the office and it went off without a hitch. We got a ton of plants and flowers from people that were congratulating Dr. on the new building. Everyone loved it and there was yummy food and cake. The boys all had a blast drinking to her success, and I didn't want to do it, but cranky Crystal had to come out in order to get Dustin to leave. I'm sure Trask will be giving me crap about that tomorrow when he comes by. Silly boys! We were there until 10:30 and I was bushed when we got home. I slept really good last night for the first time in forever, and didn't even wake up when the little pea pod did at 4:00 in the morning!

I'm ready for bed, but I'm sure the boys will be up forever! Hope everyone had a great Saturday! Here is a picture of my gut at almost 20 weeks just for you Maria! Bruiser even made it in to say hi!

Ultrasound

Today was our 19 week ultrasound. It was even better than hearing the heartbeat! We got to see the baby moving and touching it's face. We didn't want to find out the sex so she tried to stay away from that area. When she was measuring certain areas we don't think we saw a peter so Dustin and I think it is a girl but who knows! The jury is still out on that one! I would love to have a daddy's girl, but a boy would be just as great! The pictures were not as good as the video that we took so if anyone is interested we will be happy to show it! It is so neat to be able to see the baby moving and kicking. It made it so real. I just can't believe that something that big is in my tummy!

Hope you enjoy looking at our little baby! We love him/her so much.

Lay Off

Well this weekend went fast as usual! Games Saturday morning then that night we watched the Zags game (not by my request... thanks Shena!). Only half though which was nice (thanks Shena again). Then played some Banana Grams, Scattegories, and Battle of the Sexes with Pete and Shena. It was lots of fun! Teacher Shena ruled the roost at Banana Grams but I kicked some major tail in Scattegories. Battle of the sexes was kind of a bust, but Shena and I won that one too! Duh
Now on to the bad news/good news. My mom is facing another lay off and this time they didn't say for how long. That is very scary for her and she has been extremely stressed. She is trying to pick up odd jobs anywhere but hasn't had any luck. This is where the good news comes back into the picture! Since she is bored solid and wants to keep busy to minimize stress she has been itching to start some projects around our house! So... we didn't object and with her help, gave her a few to start on(all in the name of keeping my mother sane... of course!). We aren't quite ready to start work on the baby's room just yet for fear that it will be done and I will be sitting around watching the clock and calendar for the next 20 weeks! The floor, well that is just too expensive of a project right now and will have to wait until tax time! SO, whats next you say? The laundry room, Kitchen, and touch up painting! WOOO HOOO Go crazy Mom! She has taken it upon herself to use her knowledge from watching countless hours of HGTV to sand and stain our cabinets and replace our old crusty hardware! In the laundry room, if her lay off is more than a week, she will be scraping the ceiling, painting, and placing new shelving. Well well, now that sounds like a television show in itself. They are all pretty cheap projects, and ones that we weren't planning on getting to in the next few months so KU DOS mother!
Hope every one's weekends went well.

Movement

Work was great this week. We have been staying really busy and I love our new office. This week flew by. I hope they all are like that. Dustin and I have been busy around the house too! It doesn't seem like much is getting done, but there are so many projects it is going to take forever! Dustin is always telling me, "things just can't be finished overnight!" Blahhhhh Blahhhhh frikidy blahhhh (hope you read that hun!) I just wish I could snap and my house would be brand new!

Enough about that... on to the good stuff! I am starting to feel the baby move now! I thought it was happening before, but I was wrong. It started around Wednesday after dinner when I sat down to watch tv I could feel the strangest thing in my belly! Almost like a wave of tiny bubbles. I don't feel it all the time mostly at night when I rest, but I will take it. I haven't really felt pregnant much these last 18 weeks and now it is finally here(at night that is). I love being pregnant I might just make it a career.

Tomorrow we have more games to go to. Baby is at 9:20 and then Jaylee at 11:00 and Doris, Karly, Kayla, and Tia at 1:30. Another day of sitting on hard bleachers. Having a large rear doesn't even help anymore!

One More Week

Today we watched my sisters and cousins basketball games. Jaylee is on JV and did really good tonight! Doris, Karly, Kayla, and Tia are all on Varsity and also did great. both teams beat those nasty wildcats! I can't wait for my day off! I was sick Monday and part of today with some sort of throat thing, but I think it is passing. Thank goodness.
Only one more week until the our ultrasound. I can't wait! The baby should be pretty big and I will be almost half way there! I have a feeling they will change my due date and set me back a week but we will have to wait and see. Things are going great around here there was actually sun today which was nice to see. It is super cold tonight though so I guess we aren't done with winter yet! Dustin found out today that we had a blog (I swore I told him before, I just don't think he listens) and he thought it was pretty cool. So, readers BEWARE he may be posting randoms posts on here. I really have no control over him!

Shop till we drop!

Today Dustin and I went shopping. I got my first pair of fat pants and I hate them! I do have to admit they are pretty comfortable though without buttons and zippers jabbing into the little ones brain! We went all over Spokane and CDA it was very exhausting and by the sixth hour I was ready to die! I slept the whole way home. Poor Dustin had to drive with only a few crazy words from me. We looked at all sorts of baby things, cabinets, doors, and flooring for our house! Oh man, I can't wait to get rid of the fashionable sub floor style that we have going on right now!
I had a doctors appointment on Wednesday it was great! The baby's heartbeat is so much louder now then the first time we heard it. Dustin and I just looked at each other and smiled. It was great. Only 22 weeks and 2 days left! I hope anyway. We go in for our ultrasound on the 21st and NO we aren't going to find out what it is. That would just spoil the surprise!!! It is going to be hard though and Dustin swears he is going to peek. He would be in big trouble!
I've had the ring test done on me by three different people and all said girl. So we will see I can't wait till we see the baby for the first time and get introduced to the little thing that has been living inside me!

Made It HOME

So we made it home after almost three hours of being on the road. The trip home from Lewiston was really slow and messy, but it was worth the journey!
For new years we stayed at Kyle and Alaina's and just had a nice low key night. Which was great for a change. Then we couldn't decide (imagine that) if we should stay a second night or not! After a few hours of back and forth we finally stayed at Cody and Britts. We had fun just hanging out and watching TV and didn't have the energy to do anything! Looking back it probably would have been a good idea to go home on Thursday due to the road conditions but who knows! All in all our trip was a success and we made it home safe. It was nice to be around friends that we have missed.
