More River Time and Dirt baths

We spent lots of time in the water at the river and at camp. The girls were both little fish this year and I’m hoping by next year Addilynn will be jumping off the dock. She’s been practicing in the tub plugging her nose.

Even though I am super self conscious about being in a swim suit, I made a promise to the girls that I would get in the water more this year. So, for the first time in oh maybe five years, I wore a swimsuit outside of the comforts of my own hot tub.  I was so happy I got to make the memories I did with the girls and I hope one day they think back to the days they spent hanging out with mommy and daddy at the water.

This was on a four wheeler ride sometime this summer. I went to write the date down and it said June of 2009, so I’m pretty sure its off! The girls love to play in the dirt and I think its good for the soul! I love seeing their dirty faces, arms and legs. To me it means they are having fun!

CAMERA CORD!!!

I’m so excited to go back to summer and post some more pictures of our shenanigans. Starting with girls trip to the river! 7/25/14

We were so thankful we got the invite to go with Jessica down to her moms house on the Snake. It was beautiful there and even though I was stressed about them, I’m happy to report we didn’t see ANY snakes! The girls and I had a blast! They loved the water and the kids all got a long very well. We cant thank them enough for these memories!

First Day of School!

We have a full on kindergartner now! I started the tradition of asking her questions last year for preschool and I’m so glad I did. She has grown up so much in a year is makes me so sad but proud at the same time! I feel like a broken record when I say time goes to quickly. Before I know it I will be starting again with Paise. This year Addilynn said when she grows up she wants to be a teacher, her favorite color is purple, and her favorite food is pancakes! So much has changed in a year.

More camping and Labor Day Weekend

Since I found my camera cord I may be adding to the pictures from these two camp trips in the future! Once I get them loaded on the computer that is!

We had a couple times when our “school” friends came to visit! Its so much fun to get to share with them our little piece of Heaven.

There were an awful lot of hoodrats in one picture this night!

Fair 2014

So when looking for pictures to post for the fair, I realized this weekend I was staying true to my slacker form. ONLY 2 pictures! WHAT?! What has gotten into me?

Anyway… we had fun. The girls loved seeing all the animals and Addilynn even got to pet Elizabeef. Paisley got the opportunity but wasn’t a fan. Addilynn on the other hand loved it! They got to pet chickens, rabbits, and goats as well. We got to watch RJ show his pig which was also a new experience for the girls as well.

I know most fair parents would disagree, but I wish it was fair weekend again. Then we could forget about the approaching winter for just a bit longer!

I Really Need to Find my Camera Cord!

At this moment I am running out of posts! I can’t find my camera cord and am going to have to bite the bullet and just get an adapter for my micro sd card. UGH How do you lose a camera cord in a 1000 sq foot house??? Well here is what we were up to in the beginning of August!

We added another member to our family! Mr. Marshall Stewart Turner joined us on August 3rd, and has been keeping us busy ever since. Also in August Papa Jay turned the big 5-0! We celebrated at camp and took a road trip to the reservoir to swim. Since we had the baby boy and Bruiser plus the two girls we had to take the pickup but it ended up being a blast anyway! The water was so warm and the girls and dogs swam all afternoon. 

Marshall learned quickly how to climb into the playhouse to spend time with the girls. This was one of the first days we got him when he was debating on making the climb!

 

I actually captured a rare moment when the girls were getting along! They even posed with silly faces. This only happens when the stars are aligned just right so I always like to snap some random photos documenting the rare occasion!
