A Full Weekend of Camping! 9/20-9/22

Dustin finally took a weekend off! I like to say it was for "family time" but there were ulterior motives. He combined both family time and bow season into one! It was so nice to spend the days with him and actually get to co parent at camp. We had so much fun spending time with family and friends. It was also Lisa's birthday weekend so we got to celebrate that too. The other boys even came back from hunting camp to celebrate. It was just like old times sitting around the campfire!

Who knew ice could be so entertaining?

Addilynn was using this hill as a slide! She had dirt in places shes never seen before but it sure was fun while it lasted. I will say my heart raced a few times while she was climbing up the steep hill!

This is only half of the pictures but there are too many to cram into one post! I loved this moment with the girls playing together! I try to capture these since they don't ever last long.

To be continued!!!

Baby Boy 9/19

Our baby boy Emmitt was born! We waited for so long to meet him. Doris did amazing she labored for so long and in the end had to have a c-section. I was so proud of how tough she was through the whole deal. We love him so much and are so glad to be a part of his life and journey into this life! Thanks Doe and Levi for letting share your special day and giving us this sweet baby boy!

Addilynn is the best cousin. She loves her baby cousins so much. Whenever she is around E now he just watches her and "talks" back to her. I love watching the bond she has with him already! Paisley loves him too of course but she loves him on a little "rougher" scale! She can't do anything softly so as of now she doesn't get to interact much but you can tell she loves him and is always wanting to kiss him and touch his hair!

First Ride on a School Bus 9/11/13

Addilynn was begging and begging to ride the school bus even before she got into preschool. She finally got her wish! I let her ride it to school and then I was going to pick her up after school. I got there to pick her up after school and she begged for me to let her ride the bus home too! She loves the bus as of now. I wonder how long that will last??

The bus stop is a little ways from our house so we try to walk whenever we have time. Paisley was not too sure about the bus at first, but now she knows that it brings sissy home or to daycare too! She is OK with getting some one on one time now!

All buckled in and ready to go! My big little girl looked so tiny on that big yellow bus. I can't believe how fast she is growing up.

Addilynn's first day of school was harder on me than it was on her! She was so excited and still is excited every day to go to school. She has learned a ton since she has started. She randomly starts singing songs and spouting off information that she has been taught. She now knows the Pledge of Allegiance and is getting better with counting, rhyming, and syllables. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of this little sponge!

Addilynn's very own coat/backpack hook!

I had to force her to stop playing and give me a kiss goodbye!

Lovers Getaway! 9/7-9/8

Dustin and I decided it was time to get away just the two of us! It was the most fun we've had in a long time, and since then have done it again. We drove up to Wallowa Lake on Friday and left on Sunday so it was short but sweet! We rented a little cabin and enjoyed every second of each others company! It was nice to see there was still an "us" in this chaotic wonderful life we have! It's funny because we got there thinking that it would be the lake that would be the main attraction, but the best part about it was the solitude and conversations. We heard one crying baby and surprisingly made us miss home! Thanks to Grammy who watched the girls for us it was wonderful!

First Day of Gymnastics

Addilynn has started her fourth year of gymnastics! Once again she is loving it! She has learned so much in the last month and this mama couldn't be prouder. Just in the last month she has gotten her bridge over and tick tock, and has recently just got her bridge from standing. Forgive me if these are not the right terms it has been a real long time since this mama was in gymnastics! She is so close to getting her splits as well. The thing that is making me the most happy is that she is actually wanting to practice at home. She is still overcoming her fear of the beam but last night was on the high beam without Mrs. Dani's assistance.(I was really thankful that Mrs. Dani didn't give into her pleas for constant help!) It was so exciting when she came home to tell dad and was so proud of herself! I love to see her confidence growing. She still needs to work on her listening skills and quieting her chatterbox, but I'm hoping that will continue to get better with age. I have to keep reminding myself she is only 4, but if you ask her she is "almost 5!" I have to remind her on a daily basis she isn't even four and half yet but whose counting? THIS MOM She is not allowed to make herself older than she already is! She is growing way too fast and I want her to stay young and innocent for as long as possible!

Carnival and Parade Labor Day 2013

166

Before I get into my post I will mention that I am failing miserably at the 31 for 21 challenge! I am now shooting for 21 posts this month. I really thought I could do it to help raise awareness for down syndrome but failed. Maybe next year.

Addilynn had a blast this year and went on every kiddie ride! Once again we have to thank Dustin’s work because they bought the wrist bands. One of Addiynn’s favorite rides was the airplanes and she also loved the strawberries.

Where do you think she got her scowl face from? Her Mom? Doubt it!!!

Tell me how you really feel about this pictures Cam!

Wishing she was big enough for the rides.

This year at the parade we were minus one little candy scooper because this year she was a candy thrower instead! Addilynn rode on her very first float with her gymnastics buddies! She had a ton of fun and the kids in our group were nice enough to save some candy for her plus her papa bought her a bug juice so all was good!
