Camping Pictures Overload

We went on our first long camping trip. We were at camp from Tuesday to Sunday and had a wonderful time! The girls did great but we were all definitely tired by Sunday especially daddy who had to drive back and forth to work. On Wednesday we went huckleberry “looking” didn’t find many so we didn’t stop and pick any. Then on Thursday we decided to brave the car seat screamer and head to Elk River so Addilynn could fish. She did good at first but screamed the last 17 miles to Elk River and pretty much the whole way back to camp. It was great to see Addilynn catching fish. She caught 4 bluegill and Daddy said the spot I picked wouldn’t have any fish in it. We proved him wrong! Addilynn got to swim as well and had a wonderful time other than driving!

Roasting marshmallows at the fire. She loves to roast marshmallows until they burn off the roasting stick. It’s a dangerous sport but as long as your on your toes she wont burn you!

Hanging out in the camp chair and Addilynn getting her first creek bath! She actually had her hair washed and everything. She enjoyed it at first but then got pretty chilly toward the end and had to be held to get the soap out of her hair!

Addilynn likes torture Bruiser so when I walked into the living room the other day I found him stuck under a boppy pillow and toy bar. Addilynn got to sit on Tia with Maddi at the omoksee. 

First Real Bath

Paisley’s cord stump finally fell off on 7/27/12 so this was her first actual submerged bath. She liked it about as much as the spit baths. She calmed down a bit toward the end but to this day still isn’t a huge fan unlike her sister was! Addilynn would fall asleep in the bath, not this one! She makes sure you know she doesn’t care too much for them. I think she looks pretty cute even when she screams!

 

Addilynn watching from a distance, listening to us torture her sister! Like I’ve said before Paisley doesn’t like being on her back much so once we flipped her to her belly she warmed up to the idea of a bath, but again got mad when she had to be wet and cold afterward.

Odds and Ends

We have been so busy we haven’t had any time to breath! Here are some updates.

2week check: 8lbs 4oz. and 21 inches long and at 4weeks: 9lbs 7oz still smaller than her sisters birth weight and she is already a month  old! We have a very touchy baby on our hands so it takes a lot out of all three of us. We are dealing with reflux issues which means I watch what I eat, She projectile vomits out her nose and mouth, she has to be upright most of the time, she cries about a half an hour after every feeding kicking and arching her back until its time for the next if she stays awake that long, she retches and gags to the point her lips turn blue, and she hates being confined around the waist which means we have to watch how tight her diaper is, she hates her car seat and we can only swaddle her arms! We are learning a lot with this one just like the first! My poor baby is in pain most of the day and its very upsetting to watch so helplessly. She is a much more cuddly baby than A so that has been nice to get extra cuddles. She is a sweet baby when she isn’t in pain and we love her very much and keep hoping she grows out of this reflux stage fast!!

Addilynn is growing big as well! She talks like a grown up, is still a great helper, and doesn’t show horrible signs of jealousy toward her sister. She is feeling a little left out when I feed or when we have to work so hard to make Paisley comfortable which breaks my heart. The other day Addiliynn made her mommy cry like a baby when she started crying as soon as I put Paisley down running to me saying, “I just miss you mommy!” I feel so bad for having to spend so much time with baby. We try really hard to make special days for Addilynn, but since I’m exclusively breast feeding baby sister always has to come with. I can’t wait for the day when we can take Addilynn on a special outing all by herself! Our goal is to make each of the girls feel special all the time. Let’s see if we can balance!

Daddy and A at Matt and Holly’s wedding reception. This was a horrible ride home in the car. It took us two hours to get from Coeur d’ Alene to home that night and we stopped four times on the way. This is the reason we don’t go anywhere!

Pictures 7/19-7/21

This weekend in July we were all very busy! Addilynn enjoyed bouncing in the bounce house at Harvest foods Thursday and Friday and then at the Rotary mid summer carnival on Saturday. Then we went to camp Saturday night to visit. Mommy and daddy celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary! Time sure has flown by, this December Dustin and I will have been together for 12 years and our lives just keep getting better and better! We had a great anniversary enjoying our girls.

 

Paisley’s first tummy time and trip to camp on 7/21/12 I didn’t realize this, but my sister pointed out that Paisley was wearing the same outfit that Addilynn wore on her first visit to camp three years earlier!
