Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was crazy like every holiday we started the day at Mimi and Poppy’s and then ended the night at Aunt B’s house. Daddy had to work so he didn’t get to dinner until 4. Addilynn didn’t quite understand the white elephant game but for a three year old did amazing with the fact that she didn’t get all the presents. She is such a good girl!

Addilynn had a blast playing with all of her cousins at Aunt B’s house and got to sit on Santa’s lap for the last time. Camber, Harlen, and Addilynn ran around all night together and I can’t wait to see them playing together every year! I remember as a kid looking forward to dinners with my family because I got to hang out with my cousin. I am so excited for her to have the same bond with her cousins! It was nice to get to see everyone but exhausting like every other holiday! We are so blessed to have so many family members that want to spend time with us.

When we got home stayed true to our own family tradition that the kiddos get to fall asleep out in front of the tree. I was so bummed that I didn’t get a family picture this year laying together on the floor. It is so much fun to have our own family traditions.

Day 3 Grammy and Papa’s House

Sunday 12/23/12 we went up the lovely benewah to my mom’s house. Of course the day we scheduled for our family dinner was the worst weather day we could possibly have. The girls were spoiled rotten and we had so much fun hanging out with family. We don’t get to visit up there very often so it was nice to be there. We only got stuck for a bit but eventually made it home!

The Six Days of Christmas!

Day 1: 12/20/12 Nona and Papa’s House

This started the madness. We had dinner at Nona and Papa’s house on Thursday and poor Nona was sick with the cold that I believe we gave her. Addilynn and Paisley were both spoiled of course and we had great conversations with family. Addilynn finally got her step stool she has been wanting and uses it on a daily basis!! We are so thankful to have time to share with our family.

First Christmas Concert

Addilynn’s school put on a little Christmas concert on 12/20/12. We were proud of Addilynn. She had been practicing the songs and was super excited to sing in front of all the parents. This was also a huge milestone and turning point for miss Addilynn. This is when she started liking Santa. She had a great conversation with him and I will forever be thankful to this Santa for making her fears go away! From this day on you will see more pictures of my little angel sitting on Santa’s lap! She got to see him twice more after this day and each time she was excited to talk with him.

Christmas Spirit Odds and Ends

Paisley and Addilynn LOVE being outside so when there is snow we try to get outside as much as possible. I’m not fond of cold, but seeing the excitement on the girls faces is enough to make me winters number one fan!

Addilynn’s best friend. They walk, play hide and seek, cuddle, and chase each other till their hearts are content! What we do without our Kila? HMM… well I wouldn’t have to vacuum as much, I wouldn’t have so much laundry, my house wouldn’t smell as bad, and I might get more sleep! But what would be the fun in that? With all the work the dogs make comes lots of memories for the girls. Kila is the best kids dog I’ve seen and as much as she drives me nuts, she is a blessing to our family!

Christmas cookies with Kelby! The novelty of decorating cookies wore off fast so the kids dressed up and went outside to play while Jess and I finished frosting. Well, I guess Jessica gets most of the credit. I think Addilynn’s cookies looked better than mine! 12/16/12

So far we have been enjoying the weather. Lets see if we can continue to have fun during the yucky winter months!
