STOP… River Time!

We are so lucky to have the river to visit throughout the summer. It was nice to get to spend more time out there since we were home more. I love that my girls have a place to go to cool off on hot summer days. Its an amazing place full of memories and special times spend with family! Thank you Nanny and Bapa for all the hard work and money you put into making the river such an amazing place and thank you so much for sharing it with us! Here are three different times that we were there this summer among many others.

7/20/13

Paisley really took to Bapa this day. She climbed up on his lap and snuggled and for those of you who know her, Paisley doesn’t go out of her way to please anyone for the most part! She is super snuggly but it has to be on her terms. I think it may have caught Bapa off guard just as much as it did me! We got to visit with Aunt Jauna and Addilynn even got a paddle boat ride from Ashton.

8/14/13

We spent the day at the river with Auntie P, Camber, and Doe Doe. Auntie Bri and Dustin came to visit as well on their lunch breaks. The girls had a picnic on the grass and enjoyed each others company!

9/14/13

Addilynn decided it would be a good idea to fall off the swing set. We finally got her calmed down and then about five minutes afterward she noticed blood and wigged out! Nanny came to her rescue and healed her boo boo and threw in a few extra cuddles too!

 

Family Visit

August 10th we got to visit with the Michael side of the family. It was nice to see everyone even if we didn’t get to stay as long as we would’ve liked.

Addilynn found a frog and both of the girls had a blast playing with it. Addilynn even got to go on a 4-wheeler ride with Papa Frank and she chatted his ear off the whole time!

Trip to the Cabin

While Nikki was in town we got to head up the river and visit the Gibson family. It was long overdue! I loved visiting with them all! Addilynn went rock hunting with Karen and Paisley played with Kellen. We are so thankful for the time we got to spend up there in that beautiful place.

Relay for Life

Dustin, Kevin, the kids, and I all headed down to visit Team Turner down at the relay for life on 8/2/13. We weren’t able to stay long, but it was a very neat experience to see all the support and people that have been affected by cancer. We are so thankful for the medical advancements that played a part in saving a very special life. What we would do without this wonderful woman I don’t know. GO TEAM TURNER!

Addilynn enjoyed the music, games, and bounce house. We had some tired kiddos on our hands after we left!

More Visits

7/31/13: Bryan Ashley and kiddos were in town so we made the journey up to Brenda’s to visit. We had an amazing lunch and a great visit with friends and even a few snuggles from baby Harper. The kids played great together.

I wonder if the big boys ever pictured themselves like this 10 years ago? What great dads they are!

8/1/13: Kevin and Amy came up and stayed at our place for a few days. Unfortunately it wasn’t for the best reasons but we sure enjoyed their company and wish we could visit more often! Aiden and Addilynn became great friends and it was so fun to get to spend the time we did with them all.

So one day in and I already messed up my 31 for 21 challenge. We went to the pumpkin patch last night and didn’t get home until late so that’s my story and I’m sticking to it! Two posts tonight to make up for it.

Visitors

I’m going to attempt to accomplish the 31 for 21 challenge this year. I am way behind on blog posts so I should have plenty to write about.

7/26/13 My friend Sarah and her kids came to visit us. We had so much fun. We ate lunch and went to the river. It was fast, but I was so thankful they made the extra drive to come see me. Since Sarah has two year old triplets and a four year old we had six kids 4 and under and it was amazing! They didn’t fight once and they all had so much fun together.

7/27/13 BBQ

We had a bbq when Nikki was home from Hawaii to visit. We loved having everyone over! Good food and good company.
