Since Dustin Had to work over the fourth of July we went to camp on Tuesday night and stayed until Thursday. It was nice to get some family time just to hang out and enjoy the nice weather!
Huckleberry picking with the girls
We went back up to camp when the rest of the clan got there and had a great weekend hanging out, going on rides, and visiting.
We took full advantage of this beautiful spot. We only wish daddy would have been there to get a family photo too.
We went into town (Clarkia) to watch the fireworks and surprisingly it wasn’t a wasted trip. The girls loved them for the first time ever I wasn’t hiding out plugging ears!
Addilynn got her mermaid fix during her friend party! The weather put a damper on most things but they still got to have mermaid makeovers and pose with Genevieve. Sam made her cake which was a big hit and the girls had a blast even thougg things didn’t go quite as planned!
So I’m attempting the 31 for 21 “unofficial” challenge again this year, and wouldn’t you know I’m already a day behind. I’m going to use the excuse that my dog was sick all day. Although that’s true, I still thought about it while laying in bed and just couldn’t drag my exhausted butt out of bed to post. Epic FAIL!!! So starting today I’m going to TRY to post everyday to raise awareness for Down Syndrome, and not to mention get caught up since its been way too long since I posted last!
The bad thing about not updating is I forget everything that we did! I’m bummed because I know there were so many special things that happened and the only one that comes to mind (the most special of all) is Addilynn’s 5th birthday! YES you read that right the big 5. How did this happen??? She is such a sweet girl she aims to please at all times and is such a good big sister 90% of the time. For her birthday she wanted brownies instead of cake so we had brownie sundaes. Yummy!! The weeks leading up to her birthday she kept saying things like, “I will never be a mermaid will I?” and “I wish I could be a mermaid.” So she got a monofin! It was a hit and she even talked auntie P into letting her try it out in the hot tub that very night! She even got a real tail from my friend Holly who made it for her! It was a very special day. She also got a friend party that was mermaid themed. She was a spoiled little 5 year old!
Addilynn had her first year of T-ball. She had lots of fun and when asked she said her favorite thing about t-ball was hitting and eating snacks afterward!
She was more interested in who was watching her and waving at the crowd than what was happening on the field. We really appreciated all the support from our family during her first year. She loved having all eyes on her!
The best part was she got to spend lots of quality time with daddy since he helped coach! We will see if she wants to play again next year.
