Two Partial Weekends of Camping

sept 043

Addilynn roasting her dinner over the fire! We are getting close to the end of our camping season and we are getting sad. Winter is not our favorite time of year because it doesn’t involve camping, 4-wheeling, and playing outside in the sunshine. We are trying to enjoy as much time at camp as possible. Here are some pictures from the last couple weekends of camping. We were only able to go up from Saturday to Sunday but anytime we can get up to our little piece of Heaven, we do!

Addilynn likes to act like the dogs as much as possible. I loved this one of her and Bruiser both panting out the window! Addilynn at the campfire roasting hot dogs and posing for the camera with her new “grin”

Addilynn got to fall asleep by the fire. She loved it! She and her sister (the dog) got to share a blanket by warm fire while mommy and daddy enjoyed some fall camping just the two of us! Addilynn also got to experience her first walk through a culvert. I made it through too but I had to work really hard to keep my mind from picturing all the spiders hiding in the dark!

Addilynn sure loves her doggy! The two of them are rarely apart. Poor sister puts up with a lot from her little master!

Addilynn decided to take one last (or so we think) dip in the creek. As you can see it was fairly cold out since she was in snow pants and a long sleeve shirt, but she didn’t seem to mind. She was loving it. Poor kid is going to be sad when we can’t enjoy our creek front property!

Nona had a birthday celebration at camp and Addilynn got to help blow out the candles!

Homecoming 2011

sept 076

Last week was Auntie Jaylee and Uncle Dj’s homecoming. We went to two volleyball games and a football game! Addilynn got a ball from Auntie on Thursday which she absolutely loves! Addilynn calls it her “vol ball” Here are some pictures from both volleyball and football.

Auntie Jaylee setting the ball! My camera doesn’t do that great in the gym or at night so the quality isn’t that great but you all will get the picture!

Here are a few from football both uncle Dj and cousin Jordan did great! We were so proud of them both! I was having a hard time being able to tell which boy was who they all look the same!

Auntie Jaylee was nominated for Homecoming royalty. She looked very pretty in her dress! I was bummed because I couldn’t get a very good picture since it was so dark. Great job Auntie!

Labor Day 2011

summer 072

We had a great labor day weekend! We were able to enjoy both going out with friends and camping. We ended up camping Friday and Sunday nights and hung out with friends all day and night Saturday.

Monday Addilynn, Dustin and I went on a ride to see if we could find some grouse. We didn’t find any birds, but we did have a great time just the three of us.

Addilynn got to enjoy the carnival Saturday with her Papa, Grammy, Bri, Ryder, Camber, Mommy, and Daddy! Grammy bought her some tickets to ride the horses. She was too small for the others but she wasn’t as afraid as I thought she was. She loved it. Then she got to eat a snow cone and go fishing in the fish pond. After she caught her fish she threw a fit because she didn’t want the “little” toys that were the fishing prizes. Addilynn had her sights set on the giant dogs that were a prize on the basketball hoops. After lots of screaming and crying we picked a toy for her and that was that! On our way home, we had thought she forgot about the toys and boy were we wrong. She started crying again and said she wanted the snake with glasses. Which of course was NOT the one we picked. Oops!

Hope everyone had a fun and safe labor day weekend. It is bittersweet. I’m almost excited for fall since this summer has been so hectic, but I really will miss our days at camp!

Fishing, Birthday, Softball, and updates!

mimi bday

In August we celebrated Addilynn’s Mimi’s birthday. We went out to dinner at Casa and Addilynn loved to run on the golf green it must have felt good under her bare feet! This was the night she got her back pack taken away! Addilynn decided to pee on  the deck at the restaurant which is a big NO NO! After that day she hasn’t had any big accidents at home for fear she may loose her “ferarelly backpack” aka Cinderelly backpack!

fishing

You and me go fishing in the dark: Addilynn also got to try her hand at fishing again! She caught two fish this night and we finally had to go home because it was too dark to see! As you can tell the dark didn’t scare her she was having a blast playing in the water that was freezing cold! We love our little family outings just the three of us!

Dustin had a softball tournament in which his team won first place! Addilynn was a trooper and played in the dirt and sunshine almost all day! We had a BBQ the night before at Pete and Shena’s to hang out with the team. It was fun, but Addilynn chose to stay awake the whole time we were there. She didn’t fall asleep until after 11 which is very late for a little munchkin.

Addilynn and I went to Spokane to visit our Papa Buzz who had a stroke. He was doing great and Addilynn loved to show off for him in the room. She was saying “papa Buzz watch this!” then she would do all sorts of tricks from running and jumping to climbing on the chair. She also saw the church on the hill and said to Paige, “there’s Ferarelly’s castle!” It was so cute! After our visit we went to see Alaina, Beau, Jake, and Nanny M. we loaded up into Alaina’s car and went to see their new house! We are very excited for them it is a very nice house and we can’t wait to come stay with them!

Addilynn is still busy amazing us everyday. She is learning leaps and bounds. Some of the things she is doing now:

Counting to 13 and then stumbling a bit after that, getting better with colors, repeating everything, singing any song that comes on the radio, getting very sassy, whining a ton(we have even got her trained to show us what whining sounds like so she will stop), riding her bike with training wheels, getting ready to start big kid gymnastics Thursday, and making us laugh and stealing our hearts every second of the day!

My Cousins Wedding!

018

I’m trying to catch up on weekends that have flown by so here goes nothing! 8/20/11

My cousin/best friend Rachel got married. Addilynn was the flower girl and was very cute but also didn’t do much throwing of flowers. She was very nervous and bored (because she is 2 :) At the last minute she decided she didn’t want to hold her basket and wanted a bouquet like the rest of us. She ended up leaving the ceremony in the middle, which ended up being ok for me since I wanted to pay attention to what was going on at the alter! So, after a couple of minutes of getting lost down the isle, someone finally grabbed her and brought her to her dad. So glad her daddy was paying attention to her!!!

It was a beautiful ceremony and reception. We all had a great time and enjoyed visiting with family and friends. We all even got a chance to swim in our dresses! Rachel made the most beautiful bride and we wish her and Houston a long and happy life together which we know wont be hard for them! We love you guys!
