Deaconess Checkup

Today we had our check up with the specialist! It went great! our baby is doing wonderfully and they cleared us for delivery in St. Maries and we shouldn't have to go back unless Dr. W needs us to.

Our baby is huge.... around 5lbs. 4 oz. in the 77 percentile which is bigger than normal! I am measuring a week ahead of schedule which is good and bad all at the same time. They say it is better to have a big baby when you have a two vessel cord, but I'm not sure this body can handle too much bigger!

She said it has a "good hat size" which is code for BIG HEAD (thanks a lot Hun!) It also has hair. Not much but it is there! It is so funny what you can see on those ultrasounds I never get sick of them. Baby is head down and ready to go! My fluid is great I have more than average and lungs, heart, kidneys, and cord flow is all normal. All in all it was a great visit. I am sad we might not get to see our little one again until it is born but also glad that we were released since that means they are happy with baby's growth and organs.

I now know what has been causing me pain the last few weeks, the bulges i have been feeling on one side are feet up under my ribs, and the other side when it bulges it is the baby's bottom! It sure likes to make itself known!

So the time is getting closer! Only about 8 weeks left and we can't wait. We have been really busy with the floors and getting the house ready. I just wanted to put some pictures up so everyone could see what I've been waiting the last two years for. They are very nice but now it means more cleaning since before the subfloor was impossibe to keep clean. We love them and can't wait until they are completely done.

New Floors!

Things have been going great here in the Turner household! We have finally started putting in new floor which I love. We have been patiently waiting for two years to have something other than sub floor and I am just so happy I have such a wonderful husband who could put them in! Mom, Ralph, and Shane all helped put the floors in Saturday and were up till around 3 working hard. I had to go to bed of course and I wasn't much help anyway. I was even called the floor Nazi a couple times because I wanted things done right! You cant have four seams together Hun I promise!
We had an appointment with Dr. Woodall yesterday and it went good. The baby's heart rate was 140 something. Birthing class went good and I really like our instructor Tracy she is great and answered a lot of questions. I am feeling much better about giving birth here in SM now thanks to her! I just hope she is there when I go into labor!
Jr. Miss this week is going good I guess. It is hard not to stress out when there are still some girls that just don't seem like they are trying very hard. I'm glad they are all having fun though that's all that matters! They have been a really great group of girls and I have had fun getting to know them all.
Next up: Jr. miss this weekend, next weekend is the first baby shower, appts with the specialist on the 29Th along with an appt in SM and birth class every Wednesday, the second baby shower, hopefully pictures on May 16th, Memorial, Graduation, then baby! YAY cant wait

Date Night!

This week has really been pretty boring! I have had the whole week off and have managed to get absolutely nothing done. I did wash some baby clothes and put them away, but that really shouldn't take two days! I don't really have any plans to do anything today either. I have been babysitting my dads dog which has been an adventure! He was doing so good. All day Sunday and Sunday night the dogs were great together. Then Zach decided to break out of the fence Monday night and take Bruiser with him! I would have taken longer to realize they were gone, if it weren't for the tattletale Kila she was very upset about the whole situation. We found Bruiser in about a half hour but we looked for hours for Zach then gave up when we found him and the jerk ran from us again. Dustin got up early to go look again for him and guess who was waiting at the door for him. It snowed a couple inches and he had to sleep outside in the cold so maybe he learned his lesson, but I doubt it! So now just to make sure he doesn't drag Bruiser into his tricks with him, I take him outside and watch him.
I am really excited for Friday to get here for two reasons actually. Dustin and I get to have date night! No kids just us. We rented a motel in Post Falls with a 24 hour pool and are going to watch movies and swim all night! I can't remember when we stayed in a hotel just the two of us. It is going to be fun. The second is Maria is coming home! I am so excited to see her. Saturday we are going bowling. Even though I suck, it should be fun to try. Then it's back to work on Monday.

Perinatologist

All in all our appointment went well. I was pretty upset because St. Maries scheduled me in the wrong department so we almost didn't get to be seen but they squeezed us in. The baby was moving like crazy and didn't want to be photographed so the exciting 4d pictures I was hoping for didn't happen! The ultrasound tech said that things looked good the brain is developing nicely, the heart looked good, and the kidneys looked good. Which is what we were worried about. They said we have a 9% chance of having a baby with downs or something like downs, but we don't care about that. All we want is a baby with working parts! The baby's legs are very long and I am measuring right on our due date which is great! I am still considered high risk because the baby can develop a lack of oxygen and blood flow, or it can have developmental problems but so far so good! I have another ultrasound in 5 weeks to check things again but as of now they say I should be able to deliver in St. Maries (which I'm worried about now because they can't schedule appts, and they got my blood type wrong AGAIN!) Dustin and I are so relieved and can breath easy now for the next five weeks!

our baby was being a show off grabbing its feet and tucking itself in a ball. This is the best picutre they could get the other ones were creepy looking! It did anything it could to avoid a picture! We did get to see it has very muscly calves! She was impressed by those! Oh and the lady kept calling it a "HE" but we told her we didn't want to know so I don't think it means anything but Dustin is convinced now that it is a boy. Another reason he thinks it is a boy is because one Dr. had said he only sees two vessel cords in boys and another said that it is more common in boys! I am still set on a girl because once again I didn't see boy parts!

Just to let everyone know that Dustin and I have our appt. with the perinatologist tomorrow in Spokane. We will get to see our little poppy again and hopefully get some answers that we have been waiting over six weeks for! I'm sure I will let everyone know what I find out since I am such a fan of the blog. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Couldn't find Mickey Mouse

Today we got to peek into baby Turner's world again! The baby seems to be growing just fine, but they were unable to find the third vessel again this time. No Mickey mouse just one ear and a head! We talked to our Dr. and he has referred us to a perinatologist in Spokane. He said he is the only one from here to Seattle and he is very good at what he does. He tried to answer our questions as best as he could, but he said the best bet would be to just talk to Dr. Sigmound (not sure how to spell his name). We are trying to stay positive and keep hoping that nothing is wrong with the baby.

Good news is my glucose screen was normal and they re did my blood typing and I am for sure O+. I feel a lot better knowing they redid the test. I was just wrong all these years!

I am getting excited for the baby to come. Samantha had her baby this morning at 3 and he is doing fine! I only wish I was a little closer so we could meet our little one. I just want to hold it and know that it is fine!

Dustin said something about the baby's nose that I wont repeat, but let me just say THE BABY IS YOURS HUN don't worry!

I didn't get all the answers I wanted today but we are getting closer. I hope I can get in soon over in Spokane so I don't have to wait anymore. Six weeks has been long enough torture.
