**Knapp’s Farm=Pumpkin Patch Picture Overload**

176151152 copy

Yesterday we took our first trip to a pumpkin patch. We went to Knapp’s Farm at Green Bluff and had a blast! I’m sure you could guess from all the pictures it was a beautiful place and such a great place for the kids to play. Jessica, Kelby, Stephanie, her son Robbie, Addilynn and I all rode up together in Jessica’s trail blazer. You can imagine what fun that was with two toddlers, a one year old, and three sleep deprived mothers! Kelby and Addilynn’s conversation consisted of a few different sayings 1. Mine 2. Don’t do that 3. Mom, Kelby is touching me  4. occasional shrieks

I’m sure there were more but all in all they really did do a great job for being stuck in the car for that long. Alaina was lucky that we met her to pick up lunch so she didn’t have to listen to the battle royale coming from the back seat!  All of us were so excited about how the day went. When we got to the farm, we ate our lunch then started out on our pumpkin picking adventure! After the pumpkin patch we visited the animals and then ran through the maze. This was by far the kids favorite part. They were way too cute watching them run and explore through the giant maze of hay. When the day was done the kids were beyond exhausted and the moms were grateful the day was a total success!

Addilynn went and found this pumpkin all by herself! I didn’t think she would come back with anything but to my surprise she picked out this cute tall and skinny baby pumpkin just her size! She was so proud of it I just had to get it for her!

Addilynn still working on her posing skills! We took a ton of pictures and she was such a good sport stopping to pose every once in awhile.

Addilynn was just as interested in the dirt as she was the pumpkins! Alaina thought it would be really funny to have her put her hands all over her face and it actually made for quite a cute picture. She even looks cute with dirt all over her face and hands!

Addilynn wanted to try and push the pumpkins all by her self, which seems to be her new thing. Everything has to be done by herself. I love her new found independence, and it also serves as a good patience building skill for mommy.

This last picture totally cracks me up because she has a real issue with sticking her tongue out. She doesn’t even know she is doing it but when she is concentrating she has her tongue out. It makes her smarter! NO she doesn’t get it from me either that would be her father 100% of the way this is one trait I will gladly hand over to Dad!

Senior Night!

100

Sad but true I know, but another one of my sisters is a BIG SENIOR! Jaylee had her volleyball senior night on Thursday. We are so proud of her for all of the wonderful things she has accomplished. She is such a strong, beautiful, caring, and talented young woman and I know she will do something great with her life! We love her so much and are going to miss more than we can explain in a blog post. I think miss Addilynn will miss her the most though “auntie” is Addilynn’s rock she loves to just call her and ramble on and she always wants to go watch Auntie’s vol ball games. She will be a very sad little girl. We will miss seeing her beautiful face so frequently but we have a few more months to moan and groan about that. WE LOVE YOU AUNTIE JAYLEE.

2 Weeks of “nastics”, Play Dates, and Play Doh

008

We have a lot to catch up on so here is the start of my catch up game! Addilynn is still doing gymnastics and is getting better about controlling her urge to be a two year old. She really loves going but has been having a hard time staying focused and is scared of a lot of things the older kids aren’t. I just hope that the more she does it the better she will get. She still loves it and that is the most important thing!

We have been trying to enjoy the weather the last couple weeks it has been beautiful here. Addilynn loves playing at the park and any chance we can we get out and play with her friend Kelby. It is really an escape for the moms we just like to pretend it is for the kids for merit points!!!

023028

Addilynn has recently discovered Play Doh. I haven’t broke down and bought it yet, it was her Grammy that got it for her and she hasn’t stopped playing with it yet. It is quite messy, but she loves it so much.

Some of Addilynn’s gymnastics. She is getting really good at her table tops, so hopefully someday she will be able to do a bridge!

Addilynn in her twin sandwich. The boys in her class love to be right next to her so you can bet you will find my little princess legs sandwiched between four boy legs at least once during the class!

I thought the action shot of a cartwheel gone wrong was super funny! She completely missed her cartwheel and tumbled right off onto the floor! Addilynn worked so hard she had to do another one of her favorite things… get water out of the machine ALL BY HERSELF!!! We should have some more updates this weekend since we have had so many things going all of my followers will get a picture overload over the next few days! Stay tuned….

This may have been “The End”

048

Let me just start by saying I FAIL at the 31 for 21 challenge. I should have known better!

This last weekend may have been the end of our camping season. Our camper isn’t home yet so there is a chance we may get to stay once more, but it isn’t likely since our weekends are booked clean into November! I thought this picture was fitting because she is all alone at the fire. Usually there would be two campers in the background but as you can see there is no one! I even had her chair so close to being put away and she insisted she drag it out one last time for her final “fake'” fire. She doesn’t want to say goodbye just as much as her mommy and daddy. Here are some pictures from our last full weekend of camping.

Addilynn was pretending to chop wood like her daddy! She had a roasting stick and was hitting it on the wood. It was so cold and wet it took forever to get the fire going. The other pictures are from an unsuspected walk we took to find our wondering Chihuahua. If I would have known it was going to be a perfect opportunity for a photo shoot I would have dressed her a little nicer and fixer her hair. The fall colors were amazing!  Addilynn had to stop a couple times and yell for Bruiser.

Addilynn was working on her posing skills. These were the two poses she gave me when I told her to “Strike a pose.” At first she looked at me funny then I had to show her what striking a pose was. Oh to be a bug on a tree that day! She has the head tilt down, but we are working on the famous “Michelle” pose! I obviously don’t demonstrate it very well. We are going to have to ask Michelle for some help on this one.

We had a great weekend together. We got to go on a couple grouse hunts, sit by uncle Greg’s fire, have a dance party in the wall tent (Addilynn even sweet talked Greg into dancing with her), play games in the warm camper, listen to obnoxious kids riding through our camp, count numerous out of state campers coming in to hunt, visit great grandparents, and hang out just the three of us enjoying the crisp fall air. We are very sad it is ending but are very grateful we got to spend as much time in the woods as we did. We definitely put our camper to good use this year!

Waiting for the fire to start going and playing in the camper trying to stay warm! Addilynn is sure going to miss all of her toys in her very own room. By next year she will have out grown them which is so sad for me to think about.

Addilynn giving me some attitude. I’m pretty sure she was sick of me taking pictures by this point. It isn’t the first glare and I know it wont be the last.

31 for 21 challenge…

001

So… I am already failing at this challenge. Let’s see if I can catch up and continue to post once a day. This is a challenge that Alaina posted on her blog it is to raise awareness for down syndrome. If you don’t already know, this month is down syndrome awareness month. The challenge is to post one post a day for the month of October. Lets see if I can finish strong.

Oct. 1 2011… I would have wrote about our Friday night. Addilynn and I hung out at home while daddy tried to find a big elk. He didn’t succeed, but hopefully during rifle or late bow he will get lucky. Addilynn keeps asking where the elk went that was in Dustin’s pickup. It was my dads so it didn’t stay in there long and now she says “daddy doesn’t have an elk” way to put salt in the wound kid!!!

Oct. 2, 2011… Saturday which was the 1st we went to auntie Jaylee’s volleyball game in Post Falls then went out to dinner with Kyle, Alaina, and Beau.

Oct. 3rd 2011.. Sunday (the 2nd) we went to take Dr. Kelly her baby gift. While the girls chatted inside Addilynn went on a nature hike with Trask. This is what she came back looking like! I really hope he has a girl because he is great at accessorizing! Addilynn also got her first dog bite. She got bit by Trask and Kelly’s old dog in the face twice. Thank goodness she wasn’t hurt just a couple welts and a small bruise below her right eye. It could have been so much worse we are very glad Sierra was just warning her to stop getting by her face. I didn’t even know what was going on I wish I would have been paying more attention. It could have been prevented.

Finally… finishing my post from tonight Addilynn went to Izabel’s birthday party! She ate lots of pizza and cake and had lots of fun celebrating with Izabel.
