Miss Grace and her amazing Bugle!

Addilynn has been extremely busy lately, and so have we. We have been battling a few colds and another double ear infection since the last time I updated. We finally have an appointment with the specialist on the 7th so hopefully we will get some “ear” answers then. Addilynn is sassy as ever and talking up a storm even though she has been under the weather lately. She has even mastered the skill of bugling if you couldn’t tell from the video! Some of her new sayings and phrases are: Medicine(it is heartbreaking to hear your 20 month old ask for medicine drops for her ears), Peace out, I’m playing, Beau watch (she likes to watch videos of her friend Beau), Here kitty kitty kitty, I fart (which I’m not too fond of), panties, I don’t know, and so many more. I wish I video taped her more so we could remember all of the funny stuff she does. She has also been working on flash cards she knows about 20 of them. We love watching her learn new stuff it is so much fun to see the wheels turn! Hope you enjoy the video.

Updates…

park6We have been extremely busy lately. Doing what, I don’t know. I need to start keeping a journal so when it is time to update everyone I can remember what to say!

We have been trying to spend as much time outside as possible since the sun has been shining. It is still very cold but any little chance we can we have to get the monkey out in the open or she goes bananas! These are some pictures from two weekends ago. We took the little 4-wheeler down to the tennis courts and let Addilynn go wild! What fun she had.

On the potty training note, Addilynn has been having a few more accidents lately which is a bummer since she was going from none to at least one a day. I am trying not to get discouraged but with all of the ridicule I’ve been getting from everyone I am starting to second guess myself. If people would just mind their own business and let me parent my child then I wouldn’t be having these thoughts! (oops I guess I’m venting a little) I feel so bad when she has them because she puts her hands over her face and I can just tell her heart is breaking. When hers breaks so does ours. I hate that she gets so upset. We don’t get mad at her but she gets mad at herself. The most recent “public” accident happened at the basketball game on Monday. Addilynn did her business on the bleachers and then proceeded to let everyone know, “ I peed” over and over. I couldn’t help but laugh when she was telling total strangers, “I peed”. I’m sure they were disgusted! What a goofball.

Last weekend we went to CDA to stay with some camping buddies. We had a blast it was great to catch up, listen to Rick play, Dustin sing, and see all the wonderful things Daniell has picked out for the wedding.

All in all things have been going pretty good in the Turner household. We are still trying to decipher a lot of Addilynn jabber, which frustrates her, but she is getting so smart. We are still working on colors and luckily there is an App for that because she loves it!

Potty Training!

Addilynn has been feeling much better the last couple days and it is so nice to have our little angel back. For a little while anyway. Until the next cold. Even though she has been feeling under the weather, she has been doing great with the potty training. She is such a smart little girl! Some other things she has been learning are puzzles, flash cards, and colors. She isn’t very good at her colors yet so if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them. I know she will get them eventually so I’m not worried. Addilynn is also saying a lot more now. Some new things are I fly (when she wants to fly), color (when she wants to color), gotta go (when she is asking you if you have to go potty), oh no (when something bad happens), poop (which she still thinks is a fart but for the real thing she uses potty), and come on (when she wants you to follow her and she even does the little hand motion too!) She is just so darn cute. I’m sure I’m missing some but you are all probably bored of my blabbing by now anyway!

This weekend we were in CDA Saturday. First, we went to watch auntie P play basket ball and… No accidents. Then we had a nice sit down lunch, ran to Cabellas, and did some more shopping at a few other places. Addilynn didn’t have a single accident and believe it or not only ONE fit. Her fit was over a bag of cheese she wanted and couldn’t have. This girls love for cheese is unreal! I was pretty excited about her amazing behavior and potty habits considering she was being drug all over the place and driving from here to there.

Sunday Addilynn learned the great art of undressing herself! Don’t get me wrong this was pretty convenient, but still a little on the scary side. I do remember a blonde haired little girl undressing at sporting events!!! I’m sure Addilynn will follow in her aunties footsteps!  Since I was very ill, naked baby wasn’t so bad. She was able to get to her chair and go potty without help. All we would have to do is help her with the last and not the most fun step of potty time!

All in all we had a wonderful weekend! I got taken care of Saturday night and Sunday by Dustin and we were able to enjoy each others company all day Sunday. We couldn’t remember a time when we all just got to relax, play, and watch football together. The perfect end to a perfect weekend.

Starting the New Year

We ended up going to Lewiston for the weekend and we had a lot of fun seeing friends we don’t get to see as often as we would like. Addilynn got to see her best buds Beau, Braylon, Kaden, and baby Delaney (who is still surrounded by amniotic fluid and belly). We had a great time! Sunday we got home and went straight up to Dads house to celebrate Paige’s 11th birthday. Oh my I can’t believe that 11 years ago Dustin and I got to watch her shove cake in her face. Did I mention it is a face that I see everyday because our daughter looks so much like her. Every time I look at Addilynn I am reminded of my chubby cheeked sister. Happy Birthday Auntie P!! WE LOVE YOU

Crazy Christmas!

eve

Hope everyone had great holidays! We had a wonderful weekend filled with great family, great food, and great fun! We went all over the place and got to see almost everyone. We were all spoiled rotten. Among all of our rushing around, we even got to make a few memories just the three of us! My favorite was seeing the look on Addilynn’s face when she saw her Santa gift!

We were very fortunate to spend the holidays with the people we love. There have been a lot of things this year that have hurt a lot of people and we have to remember each day what we have, and the people in our lives that we love. This holiday season we were very thankful for that and that we have been so blessed.

Here are a few Christmas pictures!

The best picture I could get of the cousins hopefully someone else was able to get a better one. Camber and Addilynn Christmas Eve 2010

The three wee ones. Trying to get a good picture of three babies is next to impossible. Camber, Harlen, and Addilynn.

santa

This may not be the best picture of the three of us but this is my favorite. We started a new tradition for our family. It is a fun yet risky one. We have decided to let Addilynn pack her blankets and pillow out in front of the tree and fall asleep waiting for Santa. Hopefully this one doesn’t bite us in the bottom!!!

Santa CAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and boy do I like turtles….

I have had the week off so we have been doing so much fun stuff together. We have been making a lot of trips up to see Auntie Jaylee. She had her surgery on Tuesday, and has been in a lot of pain. We really hope she starts to feel better soon. The Dr. said everything went well but the one tear was worse than he thought so she now has six weeks of non weight bearing instead of three. Poor Auntie! Addilynn hasn’t worn a diaper during the day since Sunday. She has been doing great. She still has accidents and I wouldn’t say she is fully trained, but very very close. It has been so nice to have the time off and get her ready for the next week at daycare which I know will be a challenge. I hope she does well. She had her first nap time accident today and it was very sad she woke up saying potty and I ran in snatched her up and ran for the bathroom only about halfway there I felt warm running down my side. Poor little baby!!! I have learned to not be afraid of my daughters urine through our journeys this week Today, her nap time accident was her only one! She has even been pooping on the potty. One funny thing is she thinks farts are poop so every time she farts she says poop and we rush to the potty.

These pictures are from today we had to shovel the driveway and just had to take a break for some sledding party madness (some of you will know what I mean when I say this). Only this time it was a little different than the old days sledding party madness. This consisted of me and only me dragging her around in a sled. Up and down the roads by our house. We were outside for about an hour and a half and then spent a half hour throwing a fit because she wanted to go back outside. Mom was ready but she WASN”T!!!

quick post before the rush

An early Christmas present

puzzle

Things are still busy here in the Turner household. Last night we started our 4 days of Christmas. I cooked homemade chicken noodle soup and bread bowls and we ate opened gifts and enjoyed each others company. Mom, Ralph, Bri, Ryder, Camber, Paige, Dustin and I were all part of night 1s festivities! Addilynn got all sorts of goodies from everyone and mommy and daddy got a bedroom makeover! We were so excited about it.

Addilynn has been learning so much these days. She now says bless you when you sneeze, barks, begs and fetches like the dogs, and much more I can't think of now! She never fails to amaze us with her new discoveries. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!

Well, the madness starts again today so we will post after the craziness of the holidays. Hope everyone has a great Christmas!

Getting in the Holiday Spirit

Oh man I am way behind all thanks to a certain blue screen of death that decided to magically appear on our computer screen. It is so nice to finally have it back but now to remember what went on since I last posted!

Lets start with Auntie Jaylee’s last full basketball game of the year. My heart is breaking as I write this because I can only imagine how she feels. The girls did great especially my little sister who to me was the star of the show! She played like an All-Star it was a great game the girls really look like they can play this year. I was so proud of my lil sis! Then Saturday Auntie Jaylee got hurt at her game against Kootenai. We didn’t end up going, but she was injured by a couple of girls pushing her from behind. Come to find out after an agonizing wait Jaylee with be undergoing surgery on the 28th for two torn meniscus and a torn ACL. We are all devastated. She is missing out on so much of her junior year it just isn’t fair. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers and hope for a speedy recovery. They say it takes about six months.

Saturday while all of this was going on. We were at Christmas in St. Maries. It was very entertaining. Addilynn got her picture with Santa which she wasn’t a fan of and we even heard stories about Camber being in hysterics! So both girls didn’t like Santa much this year I wonder what Christmas Eve will be like???? Addilynn, Dustin, and I watched the parade of lights, or should I say Dustin and I did. Addilynn hid her head the entire time. Hmmm I’m beginning to think this child has harsh feelings toward Christmas.

Sunday we went to find a tree and sadly Auntie Jaylee missed her first year. This was the third annual tree hunt/cookie making party! All the hard work was left to Dustin and Auntie P. We looked all over after a sleigh ride through the forest and finally found the perfect tree. Afterward we made cookies and had a blast decorating the tree.

Here are some pictures from the last weeks happenings!
